[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Yep it was the data wipe that did it. Unless you are having problems or switching from one operating system (OS) to another say Eclair (OS 2.1, builds DL09 & EA28) to Froyo (OS 2.2, builds DL30 & EB01) you shouldn't need to wipe data, wiping cache and dalvik cache should be sufficient.

Thanks LS, I'll keep that in mind going forward

DJ09 seems to have done the trick. Locking in at 3 meters inside my house now within about 10-15 seconds. Am I missing anything having this radio over the most current? Thanks for the suggestion.

Don't know that you're necessarily missing out on anything with the DL09 modem. I noticed before you didn't have Adrynalyne's GPS fix patch, just the 2.9.1 update. Don't know if the GPS fix patch is different than the tweaking he did in the 2.9.1 patch, but having both made all the difference for me and I'm on the EB01 modem. Adrynalyne's GPS fix patch can be found in post #357 on page 36 of this thread. Can't hurt to flash it through CWM. If it is the same as the tweak in the 2.9.1 patch it won't hurt anything.

adrynalyne posted that the GPS fix is included the 2.9.1 patch, and there is no need to flash it if you already flashed the 2.9.1 patch.

btw since flashing the patch my GPS is working very well.

no problem. i do alot more reading than posting, as i am still learning like most people here. and i might add that your posts have helped me more times than you know.

I tried the patch and it didn't work...although the GPS still wasn't working on DL09 until I pulled the battery and did a reboot. That may be all I needed to do in the first place with 2.9 and 2.91. If I am not missing anything using the DL09 radio, I guess I will just keep it this way as everything else seems to be running great.

Yeah, in the first post in this thread Adrynalyne wrote you need to have at least a DL09 modem, so you should be fine sticking with it, especially if it works better for you.

Even though flashing to 2.9.1 im still having problems with the GPS.
Yesterday i was with a friend in the car in big city, had GPS enabled, all Location services on, and WIFI on even though there was no WIFI to pick up.
I was never enable to get a lock in Google Navigation. When he drove me home later in the day i first started Google Maps and got a lock while on the freeway, then shut down Maps and enabled Navigation and immediately got a lock.
Today i was on the bus and again no lock but even opening Maps first wouldnt get a lock, the arrow would just spin around and studder. I rememered i had the GPS fix on my SD card so i went into CWM, cleared caches, applied the fix and rebooted. I tried to go immediately into Navigation first to get a lock and no go. So into Maps and got a lock but after about 30 seconds and then into Navigation and immediately lock.
I remember back when i had Stock Touch Wiz DL09 and never had any GPS issues. Ive read great things about 2.9.1 GPS.
I know the GPS fix was included in the 2.9.1 patch. So i guess it was just a fluke that after i applied and rebooted it seemed to help...a little bit.

EDIT: I flashed DL09 Modem went outside my house neaer a busy steet opened Maps immediately locked on. Opened Navigation immediately locked on to within feet of my location.

What Email program are you using?

What type of file are you trying to open?

What happens when you try to I open it?

are there any errors?

Did this work before, if so what was your setup then?

Having a similar issue with an Exchange account on SC 2.9. Can't seem to open Word or Excel attachments and if they do open, they're corrupted. No problems with Eclair prior to root & SC 2.9 flash. See my previous posts #676, 701 & 715. No resolution yet, had to reflash back to Eclair. Need to be able to open attachments for my work...

So finally got the twiz music app installed it was in the system the whole time but I had to rename the stock music app to get it. In the process broke the music button on the car dock. Time to think of something else

(UGH) I've been having so much trouble with the "sleep of death". I even wiped my phone, went back to DI101, THEN went to SC2.9.1 in hopes whatever is causing it would stop bothering me. But first thing this morning after getting to work, the darn phone was asleep and would NOT wake up!

Guess I'll have to give up on SC Roms. I hate that too, because I really like them.

Hmm and you have odined your phone back to stock and all because I've had no such issue mine has been rock solid I think I've had one reboot. Btw what profile do you have your CPU set to could be a long shot but I know the vibrant had the same issue and it was due to CPU profiles

I haven't fooled with the CPU profile at all. Didn't even know that was changeable.

If you or anyone has some suggestions for me, I'm all ears! I really like the SC ROMS and don't want to go back to the leak, or much less, stock!

I am not sure, have not worked with Novell since 1993 myself. I know Exchange Server has issues when there are certain company security policies.

I went and got Touchdown for exchange and it works great. There is an e-mail app for Novell on the market. Maybe see if that one gets your attachments working again.

SC 2.9.1/voodoo EB16 and Nitro Honeycomb v2.0 = #winning

This is exactly what I have set up....went to it yesterday after having SteelMidnight blue and it was giving me all sorts of FCs and lags. Loving this so far!

I solved a lot of my FC's and inability to install some SC Roms by backing up my SD card to my computer and reformatting it, then I went back to stock, then I installed the SC Rom, then I copied back what I needed. I had a lot of folders that had accumulated over time that I didn't need anymore. It solved my problem after trying many many tips that others were posting here.

I also had battery life issues and got rid of all widgets and added them back in one at a time. I found that MLB At Bat 11 was the worst battery hog, it would drain my battery in an hour. Now I can go all day without charging while still using GPS, Wifi, browsing, email, messaging, twitter, facebook, calls. Video (Video player or Slingbox) still sucks down the battery but that is to be expected. I am currently only using the google news, and weather channel widget.

I also highly recommend the ES File Explorer app. It is so nice to be able to copy over a file without connecting to the computer via usb.

SC 2.9.1 is the best ROM I have used so far and it is working great.

Hmmm. That may be a good idea. I don't have THAT much on my SD card, but it's worth a try. But I used ROM explorer and restored my previous rom of Froyo. It sucks my battery dry in 1/2 a day but at least I can carry an extra battery and can use my phone without the damn thing dying on me every 10 minutes! (no exageration)
