[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

thanks buddy doing it now. Just wanted to give it full oppurtunity for battery loving super power!

Hope it works for you. Also don't forget to get the best battery performance, turn off wifi and GPS when you are not using them. I also read where someone posted they also turn off data when they are not using that. I did that a while ago when I read it, and in the last 2 hours my battery has only gone down 1%.

That may have been me you read.... when I am not using data, i turn it off as much as possible. It has been great at saving battery life...

Question about WiFi though... I have wifi here at home. Is it best to use WiFi when you can? Or should you still stick with 3g? I'm just wondering if using the wifi is sucking my battery faster even though it is a stronger signal than the 3g

Sharky I just flashed times_infinity kernel and said it worked but when i look at my phone info stuff it still says my kernel is 2.6.32.9 what up with that. I thought that is what it already had been? please help thanks guys

Gunnermike53 would probably be a better person to answer that. I'm waiting for my laptop to be delivered before I set up my wifi network at home, so I don't have personal experience as to whether wifi or 3g sucks down the battery more. I just know my battery has greatly improved leaving them off when not using them. And I checked, yes, you are the one who posted about turning data off. Thanks.

It's going to continue to say that for now. So it is reading correct. When you flashed the kernel did all kinds of blue text flash across the screen? If so, that was the kernel installing so you are good. Your phone is still showing 2.6.32.9 for the kernel because this is a custom modified kernel modded to work with our EB01 build, which is kernel 2.6.32.9.

I use my wifi connection at home. For me, downloads are quicker, but battery life does suffer a bit, although not a huge amount. What really kills the battery is leaving the wifi on but not being connected to any wifi networks. The phone is constantly seaching for a connection which sucks the battery big time, even more so than leaving the GPS on.

gotcha.... thanks for the info

I finally found an app in android market. winamp was freezing up

I tried a top down approach, I found a music app called mixzing, it has the feature to select multiple songs at one time to add to a playlist. yes! Only market app I found so far that does that for music, other than the stock player.

I'm also ran into an app called cover art downloader, found most of them.

Power Amp for me. I had the trial for the longest time. Lotsa cool options like gestures, library organization, and artwork retrieval. I ended paying for it cuz it's that good.

+100 for power amp i used it for a week then ended up paying for it. Best music app i have came across yet. I love that you can fool with equalizer setting and mess with folder options and such.

My battery tanked at first yesterday too. Give it a day or two to really compare results.

just updated from 2.8 to 2.9.2 today and so far so good.

really feels much faster responsive ness is nice. i use launcher pro and it seems to be much faster to respond which is nice since i had no complaints about the responsiveness in 2.8

Keep up the good work!

For me 3g is the battery killer. With 2.9.1 and 2.9.2 w/ EC10 under volt kernel, my phone can sit there all day and barely drop with WiFi connected. When I leave the house and 3g takes over you can notice the battery drain, get back home, switch to Wifi and the battery just sits there for hours.
I do notice some improvement with the EC10 under volt kernel though its taken the edge off a bit. My next step is to try the Dl09 modem as I had good bat stats with that back on 2.1. We'll see.

Can you use the DL09 modem with the SC builds?

Yes, Adrynalyne has said you need AT LEAST a DL09 modem to run the EB01 based superclean ROMs, so you are safe with a DL09 modem. I have seen several people flash back to the DL09 modem for several reasons.

I'm partial to Winamp personally, I like my ah.fm shoutcast station for the morning commute and I can create and save playlists on my pc and put them on my phone and it's playable there as well

Sorry this may not be the place, but shoutcast on Winamp is working for you on SC2.9? It's never worked for me and it's been a big disappointment.
I love everything else about it - maybe wish there was an EQ, but the Shoutcast streams just fail for me. Did you have to edit anything to get it to work?
