Heh....give a few days and get back to us :)
2.9.2 is GREAT...BUT, i've noticed a marked degradation in battery live over the past month. Luckily I have the Seidio 3500 extended battery.

Support for /dev/tun?

First off, many thanks to you Adrynalyne for these ROMs. I flashed super_frankenclean 2.9.2 a few nights ago and have had no issues. Without the real contributers like yourself, the rest of us leechers would be left in the dark.

So now for the question...

I'm trying to get VPN to work, and don't see a /dev/tun or seem to be able to locate a tun module. Do you have a module for this or are you able to advise me on how to get working with the super_frankenclean rom?

In the meantime, I'll make some backups and mess around myself. If I stumble onto something, I'll share with all.

Thanks,
shonrs

Hiya guys, I am running basebans Eb01 on kernel 2.6.32.9

I have voodoo installed.

So after i disable voodoo could i flash 2.92 through CWM by relabeling it to update.zip or could i do this through odin?

Sorry I have been reading through as much as i could on here and cant find a definate answer. Im at work so my time is limited and i really dont want to have a borked phone at work heh.

Doing this with my droid 1 was so much more less confusing!!!

thanks guys.

First abandon the idea of labeling anything update.zip. That's a work around for initial difficulties. Just select install zip from sd card while you're in red CWM.

Ha, I thought I was in a different thread for some reason. Just flash the SC 2.9.2 voodoo file and you won't need to disable voodoo. If it's labeled voodoo then it includes a voodoo kernel and you'll be able to flash it over another voodoo kernel without any increased chance of problems.

If you are already on EB01 you can just flash the sc 2.9.2 zip file in CWM. Don't rename it update.zip, just leave it named what it is and flash it as is in CWM. No need to disable voodoo unless you want to switch to nonvoodoo. If you want to continue running voodoo, just flash the sc 2.9.2 voodoo file. Make sure of two things: 1) Only flash the ROM when your phone is at or near 100% battery for best results. Make sure you have the latest CWM on your phone. If you haven't flashed the latest CWM from GizmoDroid and jt1134, make sure you flash this CWM-ALL in ODIN and use that CWM to flash the SC 2.9.2. And while I'm thinking of it, if you are going to flash that CWM-ALL, you should use one of these 2.9.2 files that have the fixed recovery:

super_frankenclean_2_9_2v_CWMFIX.zip - Voodoo

super_frankenclean_2_9_2nv_CWMFIX.zip - nonvoodoo

Thank you so very much guys!!! Ill buy you both a beer!

Im a doofus, I knew that i didnt need to disable voodoo if im in stalling a voodoo ontop of it :)

Question regarding this EB01 and EC01 build. I currently have sc 2.9.2 voodoo with EB01 build. My question is regarding EC01, can i flash a EC01 theme with my setup or do i have to flash EC01 first. If so any links to EC01?

Also what is the difference between EB01 and EC01?

Which theme were thinking of flashing first of all? EC01 is a newer build and which hopefully means no more faulty radios or more poor GPS according to Adrynalyne.

com.android.mms randomly FC's

As the title says, it'll randomly FC. My phone can just be sitting idle and it'll start vibrating(i keep it on silent) and the the message comes up that it had an error. i'm running SC2.9. No patches or anything.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks

Bit off topic here but what is the consensus on EC01? I am still on 2.9.1 with JT's newest kernel on xda but have only read a little on EC01. I had some issues on the last upgrades so I am really not wanting to wipe again unless it is better ;) I know this is subjective but just looking for opinions.

Thanks

Well i cant get a GPS lock on 2.9.2 ...only when im on WIFI with EB01 :(

So i need to try Ec01 correct? And I do this through Odin?

edit: I thought what I downloaded was supposed to come with the EC kernels? but im still showing S:i500.04 V.EB01, kernel version 2.6.32.9

Did i do something wrong? I see SC 2.9.2 on the info bar when i pull it down??

I'm running 2.9.2 and flashed only the EC01 radio via Odin. My GPS locks really fast now and have noticed better signal.
If you see the 2.9.2 on the info bar then your good...
If you flash just the radio it will show in your "about phone" the change in the baseband version... Everytime I've changed kernels it never has shown.
