Returned 5X and went to 6P

I went the other way. Returned the 6P and bought a 5X off Swappa. I'm not having the problems with the 5X that others are having. It' runs great and I wanted a smaller phone.

I've had both the 6P and 5X multiple times and have never seen the terrible lag that people talk about with the 5X. Very occasional, yes, but better than any other Android phone I've owned in the last 15 years.

What amazes me is the way we all talk about the 5X being small, yet the S7 Edge is almost identical in every dimension to the 5X, except being a hair taller. Makes you realise what a great job they did.

Have both 6p and 5x and can't agree more. I am loving my 5x. Feels like the perfect size. I have had big phones for ever. Note 3, note 4, Nexus 6, Nexus 6p. I got 5x just because I wanted to have it and never thought I would like a smaller sized phone. Been my main driver for couple weeks and it's an absolute champ. Love it and actually didn't expect to. My 6p now feels too huge and awkward. I honestly don't know what to make out of this.

About to do the same. My 5x is painful sometimes with huge lag and really quick battery drain. Just ordered a 6p to replace it...

I don't understand the assumption from manufacturers that people who don't want near-phablet sized phones don't want performance either. The only normal sized phones with decent performance now are the S7 and the HTC A9, the A9 barely so. Either way, everyone will follow the leader and when the S7 outsells all other phones combined, maybe they'll wisen up and start making phones smaller. This is already technically the case. The 6P and G5 are both ever so slightly smaller than their predecessors.

I would really like a smaller Moto X. I'm only just now upgrading my 2014 Moto X because I couldn't find any near-stock premium android phone that isn't ginormous. I'm only getting the 6P now because it's on sale and I reeeeeaaally want a finger print reader

After a few weeks with the 5X, the last and especially camera lockups were driving me crazy. Cleared cache partition, daily reboots, other things mentioned in many threads failed to fix the issues. Very disappointed. Returned the 5X snd ordered the 6P. Initially concerned about size but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. This 6P is soooo much faster on every level. Much happier now.

Had anyone gotten fed up with the 5X lag and exchanged the 5X for the 6P like me? I had such high hopes for the 5X.

I started with a 5X and swapped for a 6p as well. Haven't looked back at all. I thought the screen size would be a deal breaker, but I still love it.
