Rezound no longer on display at local Verizon store

If this is true than it is disturbing. Surprising even sense there is not a phone even announced for Verizon to take its place or even rival it from htc. I have only seen one other rezound in use and it was a guy at a job fair. I have seen several razrs and a couple of nexus's though. I understand why other ppl get those phones, but I would not put either of them over the rezound.

If it was named the "droid rezound" I feel that the treatment might somehow be different.

Not to mention its display is pretty putrid to say the least.

Have you tried to just stop anywhere in town and buy Rezound accessories? It's difficult. The official Verizon store in my area has a very tiny selection, but that's about it. I have always had to purchase my Rezound cases and such online.

Whereas, you can't spit without hitting an iPhone or Razr case.

So it's not a lack, rather a local availability issue.

When I first got my Rezound I was able to pickup the car mount for it in person at my "local" VZW store without issue.

Same here. I went to best buy a couple weeks ago to check out the rezound in person before I ordered it online and asked if they had any accessories and they said no.

I currently have a T-bolt that my son broke while we were in the Verizon parking lot. We had an upgrade coming so I got the rezound. Great phone but I needed a case and also would need the extended battery so my cost would shoot up to $350. So I returned it to the store and just did a replacement through the insurance.

I was hoping that they would match the online price but they wouldn't (which they never do but I can dream). The salemen told me they are refurbished phones, which is possible. I think that they are clearing stock for the next phone.

THe Beats audio headphones retail for $120 so even at $200 its a decent deal if you listen to music and do not destroy headphones.

Supposedly the rezound is also supposed to be getting ICS shortly, and from what I am reading most of the new phones will not be a huge upgrade overall (imo).

So with that said you can probably go to the none verizon operated stores and go to the private stores that sell multiple phones and cut a better deal which I am going to try.

Also re accessories. Verizon stores are bad with running a full line of accessories. They have to purchase them than they resell them. Considering the speed that a phone goes from top to bottom carrying a lot of inventory on extras that may or may not sell is to costly from a store standpoint.

Why wouldn't you just order a Rezound online for $50 - that seems like a smoking deal and it's probably less than you'd pay to get a refurbished T-Bolt via your insurance plan.

Concerning your son breaking your phone in the Verizon parking lot - that's classic. Can I ask how old he is? If he's a teenager I'd start to wonder if that old adage "there are no true accidents" has some merit to it.

I did order one about 2 hours ago . I used my wife's upgrade but she likes plain phones and just uses ones that family members trade in and I will have my upgrade due at the end of the year (GREAT SUCCESS)!

Lol he's 7 and I couldn't be more happier with his clumsiness

Oh and I should be able to sell my t-bolt to someone through craigs list for more than my insurance claim so its a win win.

What a most wonderful piece of marketing genius that is. They hide them in the back & make it seem like your buying illegally smuggled beaver pelts or something. How Verizon has dominated the carrier wars for as long as they have is puzzling sometimes.

I'm stuck with them because of my grandfathered unlimited plan haha. I plan on moving to my own place soon and I won't pay for internet when I can get 40+ mbps speeds through my phone.

It will change how we look at cell phones ....will also save you from any 2012 doomsday prophecy.

Thunderbolt is no where to be found on Verizon's website anymore when browsing all phones. Even its phone specific webpage no longer works (Set Your Location).
