Rezound Official ICS Update Shelved?

Exactly! I've been running the latest leak now for a few weeks and it's incredible... The only bug I've had an issue with was in the stock email client. At times I would download the complete HTML file complete with an image attachment / then after closing the email and re-opening it the image was gone and could not be re-downloaded. No big deal, just using K9 for now instead.

This is a really good release and I'm tempted to not even take the OTA if they take out the ability to disable the bloat. Right now I'm bloat free on stock, unrooted and as Cosmo say's.... "I'm luuuving it!"

Now if i could figure out how to do it.....i need step by step..

Wander on over to the Rezound Rooting ROM's and Hacks section and hit up the sticked thread at the top.

How could they force it if it is never officially released? I think you missed the topic of this thread. ;)

The better question would be, "Will Verizon let me have complete control over my own phone?"

Unofficially, the Xperia play has ICS available to anyone willing to flash it so news for them isn't all that bad. Barring catastrophe and/or the Mayans being correct on 12/22, the Rez will get an official OTA for ICS before the end of the year. There's no viable reason, they never seem to need one in the past though, it would be held off past Labor day. I just don't see them failing to release outside of their current timetable. The latest candidate 3.13.605.7, fixed some of the pithy problems 605.5 had. I think the only thing really tying it up the Rez. revolves around the terms "global" and the recent announcement of the 4 late bloomers.

P.S. How did I get posted before SJ submission, that's twilight zone-ish?

You got it backwards. The 3.13.605.7 leak was before the 3.14.605.5.

You got me. I actually stumbled upon the err in a thread up in the roms sticky a couple days ago. I'm not running any of those "candidates", so I really wasn't paying attention to the dates, just the build #s.

Don't feel bad, I did too and posted a whole thread about it lol

Unless it comes out tomorrow, we'll be a full two weeks into June without a peep.
Seems like VZW devotes more resources to its new rip-off pricing plans than to getting updates to their red-headed stepchildren.

You say this like your surprised.

I'm not saying ICS is not coming to the Rezound officially but what I would say is it's so far down the totem pole it's inconsequential to them.

I'm betting the last leak that just came out a few days ago will be the official OTA. Why not just grab the RUU and end your longing?

Nothing shocking here. When given the choice to make more money or give consumers what they want, Verizon will forever choose to make more money.

Surprised nobody posted about the new leak in the forum. Guess we're all too bent about the new plans to care.

I did the 605.10 leak twice meaning flashing it 2 times twice. It hasn't taken it as well as the last leak. Seems strange! The network drops out once in awhile now and only way back is a reboot and sometimes 2 reboots.

Well that doesn't sound good. Does seem strange considering this leak is the same radios and kernel as the last.
