Exactly! Well I think it's fine now. I installed a new sim and has worked fine all day. Only thing I notice now is when you reboot it takes longer to see a data connection.

Yes Verizon will remind everybody that ICS is coming to Droid Razer/Maxx to get you to buy it remember that's how we got stuck with the Rezound!

Your not stuck with anything. You can sell it or upgrade to ICS via the RUU, you won't even have to root.
Android is about choice, don't choose to be "stuck" with a device if you don't like it... Do something about it.

Since the Razr has now surpassed 4S sales for them. They have to do that because everybody knows ICS works well on the Rezound already and the Razr/Maxx is a work in progress.
The only thing I have to say is I read yesterday that the rez is like sixth on the best seller list for whorizon. Is that out of like 20ish?

I called Verizon about a different issue yesterday and asked if this phone was indeed going to get updated. Now I know they blow smoke and many times tell u what u want to hear (at least in their minds) but he claimed the phone wouldnt get updated unless there was something wrong with the current OS and needed it. Dont know if he meant ICS or the crap fixes they send out though. I didnt expect a date or time just confirmation and they wont even do that for people. Also asked questions about the new plans and this operator claimed he knew nothing of the change. Ha!
Thinking of just going for it and trying the leak mentioned above that doesnt require rooting. In a year I'll be leaving them anyway. Is it difficult for a newb or is it spelled out pretty well how to do it?

The G'zone is ahead of the Rezound? That should tell everyone something about the people buying phones...I know one person that bought that phone and I couldn't stop laughing for days after he came by like "Look at my new phone". I know it's supposed to be "ruggedized" but that thing is hideous and made by Casio...I know I'm showing my age a bit but I remember Casio being the maker of the cheapest watches on the planet...that all the "cool" kids needed to have.
Unless you can assemble a crack ring of the nations top cryptologists and some Ovaltine decoder rings. It's a lost cause to interpret what they say to us.
. As for the candidate leaks, it doesn't get much easier than those directions. Just as MrSmith and others recommend, remember to flash it twice to avoid a road bump or two, post flashing.
That is almost unbelievable they make a well built phone. Quality & durability are not exactly synonomous when the word Casio is mentioned.
Yeah that one was the worst offender. It is soooooo ugly, and the whole casio thing, I just find it hard to believe they sell that many. The bigger shock though for me at least was the Bionic in second, ahead of the gnex. It began as a dud, continues to be one but is the second best seller? OK maybe dud is too strong, but it hasn't lived up to the hype...
That list is outdated now, though. I believe it was reported the Razr surpassed the 4S in sales, last week. Not sure if that was Razr #'s alone or included the Maxx as well.
Only cool if it had the calculator built in. Otherwise Swatches were the watch to have. Is that the phone that almost looks like a nextel type work phone? Have they made a phone since?

A few observations. 1) Casio's have served me well in tours of multiple deserts, the jungle of Panama, and other major tons of abuse. 2) My business partner is an idiot at times. The G'zone was the only phone that could handle his abuse. The only problem with the G'Zone was that it didn't come with a way to contact a lanyard (AKA dummy cord) to it. Two of em are at the bottom of Tampa Bay now.
3) Yeah it didn't do anything for me but get me something like the Rezound with a stock battery the capacity of the MAXX that is ruggedized / water proofed and I would sell one of my kids in a NY minute for it, pay full price, and never regret it.I take offense to this. You know what time it is?
Time to come at me, bros.
Hope you didn't spend more than .25? fishing that thing out of a gumball machine?
