[ROM] 11/20/11 - CleanROM 2.9 - GB 2.3.4 - Perfection Achieved!

Re: [ROM] CleanROM 2.2 -8/27/11- GB 2.3.4 - The Best Never Rest!

I got it thanks. I didn't have to do a battery pull tho. I renamed it and moved it to the root of the SD card using astro and then I pressed the power button. Selected restart and then hit the bootloader option u put in for us. Then it worked thanks :)

Re: [ROM] CleanROM 2.2 -8/27/11- GB 2.3.4 - The Best Never Rest!

I use to have an EVO 4G and flashed a couple roms and they all had some kinda bugs. I have to say this Rom is great! Good job

Re: [ROM] CleanROM 2.2 -8/27/11- GB 2.3.4 - The Best Never Rest!

Dumb question of the week. I flashed in the "crapware", didn't realize it was the whole package. I may just try to live without it, since I really don't need mobile wallet or radio.

If I wanted to remove the (c)rapps, how would I be able to pull that off? Am I just missing something?
Every time you answer my questions I become less of a newb. thanks!!

Some people say they think its required... Some people dont. As you can see the guy below did not flash a radio and he had no issues at all. I never flashed radio during testing and had no issues. I then later updated the radio in hopes of getting better reception (and maybe even got a tiny bit) and had no issues.

I think its all on "user experience" that decides the radio upgrade need. Try it without upgrading. If you get funky roaming issues then you know you need to upgrade.

Sprint crapware is in the ROM Updater. Look there. Its been there since 2.1....

The app draw you speak of is actually included in my SenselessROM series. Im intamtely familiar with it. You can download it from authors thread here if you want it: (APK ) Launcher 2 w/ 3D Scroll for Sensation & Evo 3D Final Update! - xda-developers

Green Lantern is stored on you SD Card and is not touched by the ROM. You can access it using the HTC Watch application. If you have issues doing that let me know.

You would need a program like Titanium Back Up to uninstall.

But here is an easier way....

After you download the zip use ES File Explorer to open it and then browse to the app folder and just install the apps you want. If an app wont install it means it needs to be in /system/app. In that case just copy and paste it to system app.

Re: [ROM] CleanROM 2.1 -8/24/11- GB 2.3.4 - Best Ever!

Its safe, I just tested it. It will be rolled up into v 2.2

Spider man... I can make a mode for that.

As far as market? I have no clue. Go to settings -> Applications -> Manager Applications and then clear data for market and try again.

Yes for Spiderman, PM if you wanna talk about it.

The Market problems were all about being logged into Google talk. My Google Apps account didn't have it fully authorized for use (it's in 2 places). Soon as I did that, all was great!

So if your market gets stuck on starting download, you don't have Google talk configured right.

Do I have to do a total wipe for 2.2? Also I'm hitting the donate button, nice work.

If you are upgrading from 2.0 or 2.1 no, just dalvik and cache. If you are upgrading from 1.x then yes.

I always recommend a full wipe but many users just do dalvik and cache and are fine.

Oh and thanks for the forthcoming donation!!!!

Alright. I think it was there before you posted, but Never hurts. Hopefully some others will get the Christmas spirit early.

It was.... I was test flashing so I didn't have any email turned on, lol!

Thanks again!

Is there any way for you to enable a function not currently available? Example: Turn off that annoying f**king carrousel effect. Seriously that is one function that makes me want to chuck my phone against the wall every time I flick my finger just a little fast scrolling between Home screens. Thanks in advance.

It could be done... But it would require edits to the rosie.apk... I will look around and see if anyone as the specific edits. I havent seen them yet.

Thanks for looking into it. I have been searching threads for two days straight to find a way to shut it off. It seems there are quite a few people just like me who hate this function with a passion.

Re: [ROM] CleanROM 2.2 -8/27/11- GB 2.3.4 - The Best Never Rest!

I've been using your ROM now for several days. Last night I just upgraded to 2.2. Very nice... I think I found a keeper. I'm impressed with how well you keep up with updates too. I'll be hitting the Donate button shortly.

:)

I always love a stock style rom that adds to HTC greatness. This rom is my new daily starting now.

Love the little flyin animation for some windows (like the power menu). Just a funtastic touch. That's right. I said funtastic.

So if you are going from ver. 2.1 to 2.2 is it necessary to wipe everything and start over?

Always wipe caches
Short answer : no, "minor" updates are usually ok to flash over.
Long answer : yes, a fresh install is always better.

You asked for them, here they are!
