Do we really have to wipe out the phone to do this rom? I've wiped and modded so many times over the last year.. just once of doing it without it would be nice

You can try to not wipe. It may work just fine. Stonewarrior never wipes and he has no issues. he is still using his stock /data partition. Give it a try. If you have issues then you know you may need to wipe.

No. I didint upply the update but I have confirmed through various sources that this is the "prep update" that allows us to unlock through the HTC website. I also confirmed it will lock it back down.

I have games from Gameloft that won't download because it says "No Applications can perform this action"

It appears to be calling a sprint application installer, and ideas how to fix this?

Its because all the gameloft files were removed. I will look at making a fix for it so you can play the games.

Start ROM updater app
Press phone Menu Button and select configuration
Select Addon/Theme Update Settings
Select Manage Addon/Theme Servers
Press phone Menu button
Select Update Featured Addon/Theme Servers and select yes
Themes by scrosler will show up, press back button 3 times.
Press phone menu botton and select Check now
Theme list will be populated
Download theme of choice

NOTE: The application is still in development! At this time you cannot automatically flash the download from inside the app! When the download completes select "Apply Later" Now use the phones power button to boot into recovery and flash the downloaded theme. It will be located in "CleanROM\download" Make sure you do not select Apply Now because it wont boot into recovery yet!!.


Remember this is Beta release one. I have tested it well but there can always be unseen bugs so if you flash this ROM please report any issue you see!

Known issues:
1. ROM Updater will not boot into recovery
2. Extended shut down menu does not have the correct descriptions but the icons are correct and functional.
3. No WiFi tether for the time being

*This is a new base so new mods and hacks will need to be created to fix items 2 and 3. I sure they will surface soon and I will implement in the final release.

Cool. I am heading out of town for the weekend so I am going to stay on 1.3 just to be safe. if it is still in "Beta" I will download and flash Sunday night. More than likely you will have it out of beta before then. Appreciate all the hard work you have done/do on this ROM!!

Edit: No matter, it's about 500bytes/sec speed so it's not going to work anyway.

Edit again: 500 bytes is now 5MB/s, we're all good

Only for the reasons I listed. Its not a TURE beta in the sense that I think there could be unseens issues. I am more than confident its solid but... Its a new build by Sprint so there are some hacks that dont work anymore, like the free hotspost, the quickmenu is goofy and thats about it. So with that in mind, I cant put my stamp of "Final Stable Release" until we can find fixes for those two issues. Also, I need to make some more mods to the ROM Updater app. Minor stuff.

You should consider this more of a preview than a beta. The final release will not vary much if at all from this B1 build.

So maybe I was in a hurry this morning, and maybe I forget to do a complete wipe, and maybe I reflashed tonight after a full wipe and it seems to be working.

Anyway to turn off the update notification? I'm on 2.0. I also got a boot loop when trying to change kernels, but that probably wasn't rom related.
