Been having a couple of strange issues with GingerRom and HydroKernel v01pre3. Wanted to see if anyone else can replicate.

And my Gmail simply refuses to send anything. Stays stuck on "Sending..." indefinitely. Fixed. Simply cleared Gmail data and let it re-sync.

That's the exact log line that just caught my attention. The question is why the hell is it requesting an invalid preview size?

I'm going to revert to stock to remove any possible variables. Let's see if it's truly broken.

UPDATE: Camcorder works just fine in stock ZVJ. Flashing HydroKernel to see if that breaks it.

UPDATE 2: Nope, still works after flashing HydroKernel v01pre3. Testing further.

UPDATE 3: Removed the same VZW files that were removed in GingerRom. Camcorder still works. Testing further.

OFF-TOPIC UPDATE: Just saw a funny logcat line: "I/AudioHardwareMSM72XX( 1390): [LGE] Headset is ejacted!!!" WTF does "ejacted" mean?

UPDATE 4: Flashed PowerMod, camcorder is still working.

UPDATE 5: Flashed HydroKernel v01pre3 on top of everything else (basically bringing me back to where I was previously when it was broken) and everything is still in working order. Isolated incident, I suppose.

Also, is it possible to do Apps2SD with this rom?

Anything have app 2 SD on zvj right now? Running Ginger rom and Ginger kernel now, but sad that app to SD doesn't work. The optimus s doesn't have much internal memory you know...

No kidding, why? It sounds like a win/win to me as the end user.

The reason we don't support it is because any mod that moves things to the sdcard that aren't designed to be moved there in the first place has a tendency to make things unstable at times, and furthermore can shorten the life of the sdcard. It makes it hard to troubleshoot rom issues/bugs when these mods are being used. We learned that the hard way awhile back.

Now some of you will reply to this post saying "but I NEVER have issues with mods like this."

So here is my response in advance.
That's awesome and if you wish to find a way to use the mod with this rom, please by all means go for it. BUT, if you experience a single issue whatsoever with the rom, you must be able to reproduce said issue with the apps2sd, data2ext, etc... disabled before you post about it here asking for help.

Is Apps2sd technically a different than having the system instal apps in an ext partition on the sd card? I'm not too keen on all these descriptors being thrown around in the android dev/hacking community. :-\

Update on Bluetooth... So... my phone with a stock zvj rom doesn't transfer the phonebook right... my cousin's HTC EVO 4G with a 4.x rom works fine... dunno what to think. I know my phone with ZVJ WAS working fine with my old receiver... I tend to think it's some quirk between the two...

My wife's phone stopped charging after updating it from GingerROM to GingerROM/GingerKernel. Installing HydroKernel fixed this issue. BTW, her phone had charging issues with Sprint's ZVH update, while mine was fine.
