[ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyButt-v2.4 - JRO03L [8/25/12]

Does anyone know how to get the gallery to display pictures that were in the gallery on ICS? I've had this issue with each JB ROM I've tried.

I assume you are not referring to images actually stored on the internal sdcard, but images from google+ and the like. As I understand it, this is a jellybean issue. Burnsras cmX has it fixed, but you loose the cm camera for the stock one. Perhaps jstntp knows how to repo that fix into his build, though I don't LOL.

If you mean pictures that are on your sdcard, I still have access to all my images from GB to ICS and now JB and let me tell you that is quite a few and haven't lost any, so I can't help you there.

Edit: this for a 4.1.1 gapps package that burnsra posted to fix the sync with picasa.

Thank you for the reply. I am referring to pics that I've taken with my camera and different camera apps. In GB and ICS I had several folders of pics that are on my internal SD card but none of them are showing up in my gallery :(

Yes I am aware of full wipe. N it was completely wiped clean for the fresh 1.3 install. I use Titanium Backup as well and also app backup and restore. Both r helpful, however I may have to look into Nova Launched.

So far smooth after full wipe n install of 1.3.
Thanks for the advice.

I'm with ya on the wiping and set up . With titanium , takes about 10 minutes or less to set up . Anyways , I'm running fantastic here . Thank you devs.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1][WIP] AOSP JellyBean Source - Tether-fixed!! [8/7

Well I did a complete wipe n install of 1.3 a few hours ago n just updating that I do believe that the 1.3 ROM is completely smooth after this install.

For those new to ROMs. Always do a clean wipe before flashing a ROM.

Update #2: Lagging again

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, if anything, but I am getting lag on 1.3 again. I've tried it 4 times now and its the same issues across the board. Did full wipes each time also.

Odd thing is going back to 1.2 fixes all problems and it runs like a champ. I'll try it again if a 1.4 comes along and hopefully everything will be good to go for me.

I'm really stumped with your issue. When restoring your apps and whatnot are you restoring any system data from before?

Might want to check your internal storage and make sure those pics are in fact still there.

Awesome! I'm thrilled you worked the kinks out!

I have, and the pics are there... they just dont show up the gallery. I can go to my storage with Root Explorer and see them

Ok try this........... make a backup, wipe cache, dalvik-cache and system under mounts and storage......... reflash the rom, then gapps and boot up. Lets see what that does.

EDIT - oh and make sure when in the gallery app it says "albums" at the top. If not, click that menu and choose albums.

***UPDATE***

I resynced my repo with Google's new r4 version and figured I would post an updated build. Not sure what Google changed so keep the feedback coming. Other than that, I only changed a few lines in the build.prop - Good looking out hlxanthus, thanks again!

Enjoy!!

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately, I've used that method each time I update my ROM and it hasn't worked. It's not just this ROM, but every JB I've tried. (I tried a few before this one came along) it must be something on my end because I'm not seeing anyone else with the issue.

Again, thanks! This is the smoothest jb ROM out there!

Superuser is missing

Edit: Here is a quick fix, just superuser and binaries. Either flash with the ROM or boot to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik cache, flash and reboot.

OP now has a fixed v2.0, so this shouldn't be needed.

Should I just flash superuser along with this version, or will you be updating? Again, thank you for all your work!

Yes, donniejett, you can flash that zip hlxanthus just posted. And thank you, hlxanthus.... I have updated v2.0 now so it should be ready for download in about 20 mins. I'm NOT changing the version # though since you caught it so fast.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyBean-v2.0 - JRO03L [8/9/12]

To those having lag issues... This isn't a perma fix but more like a weekly house cleaning or chore sorta speak...

Whenever I start getting lag within my device regardless of the ROM/kernel, etc. that usually signals to me its time for a little cleaning... What do I do?

Boot into CWM/TWRP and wipe dalvik cache & cache partition. It clears things out, when you reboot things seem to run quicker and smoother for days until the next wave of lag comes thru... Its a pain in the ass but for the few minutes it takes every couple days or week its worth it.

The source of all this lag? I don't believe its ROM or kernel related, more specific to each users use of their device.. Launcher, back ground processes, widgets, email/social media polling, various apps running.. We all have different views on what we consider light/medium/heavy usage and setups so its very hard to pin point the source of lag in most situations.

Hope this helps :)
