heres what i did. donwloaded thinkfree from market, then it wouldnt open my .pdf so i then just redownloaded adobe. Figured out how to save them u have to dbl tab or quadtroople tap the disk till it says saved to sd card.....thats what worked for me, im sure there is an easier way but i def dont have a save as option.

BJ , thinkfree from the market is 'lite' version....the .zip found on jae's thread is the full release/version meant for the SF..

This has probably been covered already... But has anyone noticed the 1.0 comm rom file being much smaller now? I just downloaded the file twice just now to confirm. 1st download was 95.1mb. 2nd download was 77mb. The day the comm rom was released it was 155mb... What gives? Was it edited within the past few days? What is the correct file size of comm rom 1.0???

Hmm, seems something's wrong with wherever you are downloading from.. I suggest trying the multiupload mirror download... it's the first download in the mirror postings for 1.0 it is 155mb. That will get you the right one.

Should not have shrank, 'they' know about shrinkage, right?!

Should still be 155 MB (163,179,597 bytes)

Unless you are on a Mac with Snow Leopard, then it is about 163 MB.

Voice Search

Is there anyway to extract the voice search files from this rom? I am on sc 2.9.2, I have no itentions of installing the new rom, I am extremly happy with sc but... voice search does not work. When you say "text message bla.... bla bla bla" it never puts the name in the TO section.

I have heard that voice search on this rom works flawlesly and I would love to have it working on my phone.

Any ideas? Thanks guys.

I still have to use GPS Aids from the Market to get good GPS results... are others seeing the same thing? Is there a better way to get GPS to work consistently? It took me on a Roller Coaster ride while I was on Vacation this past weekend.

When I get into "flash mode" as I call it..it seems common sense leaves my mind.. what a debilitating handicap..

Good thing we're here to help each other while one is in a stupor of flashing something/figuring something out..

Some of the experienced guys have overcome their "flash mode" but a young padaewon like me hasn't mastered it yet..

anyone else have problems with gmail? ..I'm not sure if it started happening since I flashed the comm rom or if it's just coincidence but whenever I open up gmail it never loads all the way, I get stuck on "Loading Conversations" but nothing else happens ..yahoomail works just fine & I have the autosync turned on

First I'd like to say that I'm loving this ROM. Great work as always.

I have one thing I can't figure out. I'm trying to get the Custom App under the 4tab unlock to go straight to notifications but I can't figure out how. Does anyone have any ideas?

I believe u can only set it to go to an app, like sms, gmail, etc ...but u go into menu/settings/tsb parts/custom app, and from there u choose what app u want the tsm tab to go to

Ensure that you followed the Op...Wipe Data/Factory Reset (some say this isn't necessary if coming from a Froyo ROM, but the dev recommended it)

anything on the audio out for the desk cradle for the comm rom? Been trying to mess with mine all morning and get nothing out of the speakers. searched high and low and can't find anyone commenting about.

I'm having the same issue on SC 2.9.2, so it's probably a Google thing.

try wiping data/cahe in applications for Gmail

Ya i had the same problem, but i just went back, clicked the sync on then off again, then restarted my phone and viola!, it started loading them again, so im not sure if its just a gmail problem

Vibration

Though, one problem i still do have, is that I cannot for the life of me get my phones vibration settings to work on an incoming text. It seems like it is stuck on a silent mode while a ringing tone works. Right now the settings are silent mode is checked, whenever i uncheck it it does a sound for a text, which is not what i want. and the vibrate setting is set to only in silent mode, can someone please help fix this annoying problem, other than that, this rom is legit.
