[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

After installing this ROM I had very odd problems from very short battery life (5hrs), random system crashes/reboots, to writing to the SD card failing then freezing system. After doing allot of testing I hunted the problem down to the Voltage Control module. I never made any changes nor did I ever turn it on outside of just opening it once to see what it was. Because of this I'm thinking that on some systems it starts by default. Once I forced closed and cleared out all setting of the Voltage Control module my battery life has increased where I can get through nearly two days without having to recharge and the system crashes/reboots have stopped.
Based on the above, is there a way to completely remove this module? And also where can I find the Verizon Visual Voice Mail module? I've tried Google Voice but I find the Verizon module easier.

I've looked through the posts but may have missed it....Things where running great. Now all of a sudden, my screen will not auto rotate. I have everything checked properly, havent changed anything to begin with....Any ideas?

Voodoo comrom 1.2

Voodoo comrom 1.2

Are you on launcher pro?

In launcher pro settings there is a setting that enables and disables auto rotate.

Confused

So how do I install the patch for 1.2? I mean like I installed the Community Rom 1.0 perfectly, but I did the same process to install 1.2 and it just leaves the phone frozen at the Samsung screen. O_O;

Make sure you boot the phone all the way after flashing v1.0 then boot to recovery and flash the patch. Don't flash them at the same time..

Not on launcher pro, still using the comrom. hmmm. will mess around some more. Thanks.

Did you wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache's before flashing com rom the first time?

If you did, I would re-download the ROM, re-wipe cache's and reflash the sucker..

Contact Pictures not showing Com Rom 1.1V

So far things are going pretty good with this ROM, except this problem with my contact pics. I have been through several series of Super Cleans and this never a problem.
I started from stock 2.2 and then Odin'd to Com rom 1.0, then flashed 1.1.

I see my Google contact's pics in the contact list, however when I call someone, or when there is not a pic listed, now the droid robot show's up on the call screen after initially showing the contact's pic when dialing. Previous versions and experiences keep the contact's pic throughout the call. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it?

Aside from this issue, I have had one instances, a day after flashing where the phone froze in the sleep position and would not wake up, no matter what keys I pressed. I ended up doing a battery pull and that resolved it. Never have had that happen either in my experiences.

I didn't flash them at the same time, like how do I flash the patch?

Download to your sdcard (or place there by hooking up to your computer)...boot to recovery..clear your cache's (davlik under advanced too)....then choose install .zip from sdcard...volume rocker down to the file and press power button....select yes and press power button...let it load the files...reboot system now..

This should be the identical process you followed to flash the CommRomm...with the exception of wiping data/factory reset..

Cool, now it's just stuck at Samsung screen? How long do I have to wait?

If the contact is just "sync'd" from facebook, twitter some other account it won't show up in sms, phone, etc..just in the contacts.. (however it should if it from a literal picture you took and have on your sdcard somewhere)

You have to go through the arduous task of actually "joining" the contact to the account you have (fb for me) and they'll start showing up everywhere.. if there is another way of doing it, let me know, but I've spent hours trying to figure it out and this is the only way I can find..

as far as the other issue..I'm not sure..sounds like the dreaded SLEEP of Death from EB01.. could have to do with voltage settings.. or could do with data you've restored from an app or something.. or ten zillion other things.. if it isn't continuing to do it, I wouldn't worry about it.. : )

Did that and have had no problems...I did just download Pandora. Prior to that, I had messed with voltage control and have been running the same set up for several days with no problems. Then last night installed Pandora radio. I will nuke that and see what happens.
