So can I uninstall de Adfree app since this rom claims to have an ad blocker built in?

No prob man, better too much info than too little!

I have sprinklers that do that for me =) but stupid MyBackup Pro can't seem to "find" my backup even tho I can see it in root explorer... sigh

And I have the same problem..trying a reboot then trying again..did you have any luck?

EDIT: I figured this out...you have to move the rerware file from the /sdcard/rerware to /sdcard/external_sd

Mine is restoring now.. ...somehow the rerware file got moved out of the proper folder..?

Format SD Card?

OK, so I want to basically start this Fascinate from scratch again to remove all traces of previous themes, ROMs, etc....

This includes the SD Card... can I just format it using the 'Format SD Card' in CWR 3.0.2.8?

Then, once formatted, can I just copy the necessary ODIN files and CWR files to the blank card and go from there?

Any help is appreciated!

Your external sd card has nothing to do with your phone's function. It's simply a storage media...shouldn't effect your installation at all. If you want to clean files off of it, just remove them with your pc..I am not sure that sd card formatting is your external sdcard..it could be the internal one..I would steer clear of that..

Thanks! I'll just manually delete all of the pictures/videos off the card after copying them over to PC.

If I go the route of flashing the ROM (1.3) then doing a data/factory reset, do I really need to go back to stock and do all that other OTA update stuff? If I do a data/factory reset, won't that remove traces of other ROMs and themes for me?

I got it to work, I edited my post earlier, but yeah it's stupid...

it wasn't very clear about that in the error that the file structure had to have the rarware folder inside whatever other folder I use, in my case /sdcard/Backups/rarware/ but I just point it in settings to /sdcard/rarware

Coming from SC 2.9.2, should my battery be running better now that I have voodoo and am banged? Because it certainly didn't seem to be today when I was running 1.2. GPS wasn't working either and I was having trouble with text messages. Maybe I need to do the batstats reset thing? Flashed 1.3 tonight so we'll see how tomorrow goes.

The only reason to go back to stock would be to grab the ED01 modem, which the consensus is the ECO1 is just as good if not the same.

If your already on the EC01 or ED01 modem, than your absolutely right. You can just update to KB1.3.. The wipe data/factory reset will remove everything "user" i.e. if it wasnt just installed by flashing the ROM, it's gone.

My initial reaction to 1.3 is "very nice" Still a lot to do..but so far so good..Camera crapped out first go around, but it rebooted itself and worked the second time.. no biggie...wonder how you go back to this awesome deep, deep black wallpaper and background after you change it...I remember with 1.2 I couldn't find how to reset the background to the stock darkness..

I have the same question. I've looked through the phone and can't find a way of reverting back to black without a reflash of the ROM or just making a black picture myself and applying that.

Download app from the Market called "COLORS" and it will do exactly what you are looking for.

So I keep reading that we need to wipe after we flash the rom? I just wanted to check because it seems like that goes against what we have typically done in the past with roms.

I was on 1.2 and wiped cache and dalvik and just flashed 1.3 over 1.2 and so far so good.

Theot, this has been a mixed bag for everyone....Adry recommends wiping after to get the GPS to work how he configured it. If you don't use gps/navigation too much, then you may not notice. A data wipe is good for clearing all themes, remnants of everything applied by the user. From personal experience, I like to follow the dev's recommendation. the people I help on here generally find fixes by going back and reflashing and doing a data wipe. It's dev recommended, but a lot of people would tell you it's not necessary. If you get some snags, then it might be something you might consider going back and doing..otherwise if it ain't broke don't fix it!!
