Gonna try the rom again since the first one failed so miserably. Going back to DI01, and then wipe version Froyo ED01, and then CR.
That said, should I wipe data/cache/dalvic after every full boot before I go to the new ROM? Also, when using Titanium, what system files should I restore? The list of what not to install is likely too big, so I figure that I have at least 6 Titanium suggested files to restore per their icon, but wanted to know what other felt about what they restore... apps with data, apps with data and system, or selected system files. If the latter, which ones?
Playing some catch up after being gone some time with work and life, and am looking for a nudge back to the groove.
Thanks in advance,
SuD.
[EDIT] Key to a successful load of the cm rom, for me, was to (Use TiBP) go back to DI01, boot to desktop, shut down. Boot into CWM, Factory Default, Clear dalvik and cache. Load ED01, boot to desktop, shut down. boot into CWM, Factory default, clear dalvik and cache. Load CommRom, reload CWM from op, boot to desktop, shut down. Boot into CWM, factory default, clear dalvik and cache. Reboot.
Market worked flawlessly
Downloaded TiBP and key
Restored 6 TiBP suggested system settings (wifi, bluetooth, etc. ones with TiBP logo)
Rebooted
Started TiBP and restored all apps and data and let it sit for a few mins. Rebooted
Let it sit for a few mintues
rebooted
The only thing that's odd is that 2 of my 3 angry birds didn't load, but so what.
The ROM is running flawlessly. The Factory Default in CWM had to be the difference because that's the only thing i didn't do before. From my ride from work to home, everything installed perfectly and is running without issue.
The only thing I need to test is sms and mms. SC made me have to install the Sammy SMS/MMS to make it work correctly, but I'll test as is and come back with a confirm if anything needs to be done. I'd rather not have to do anything from here, but I'd say that right now, I'm 95% happy with the way it has turned out. I hate having to spend all that time, but in the big scheme of things, it's all worth it and it's all good to have something running this smooth, looking this good, and being supported by the likes of everyone here. And yes, I'm running non-voodoo, but again, if it doesn't make much of a difference, then Odin makes is somewhat easier since i'm attached to a pc all day anyway.
Thanks for the nudge Lttlwing16. I wouldn't have done the factory reset from CWM without your suggesting from the provided link.
