Flash the calendar zip in recovery like a rom.

fc lockscreen- go to settings--tsm parts and set an application that you would like to launch when you use the miui or 4tab.

Settings,,,,tsm parts--statusbar settings--change color of the text to whatever you want and press the middle color dot. Reboot.

Not to be harsh fellas and i'm glad to help you all out, but answers to these questions can be found in the last 10 or so pages of this thread..

Just for the sake of the thread health, make sure you've read the last 10 pages or so... Often you'll find your answer! :)

Thanks but I tried changing text color. I only have 3G, Signal bars, and battery icons on bar. I checked to make sure clock wasnt hidden. What am I missing to get time to display on status bar.

Hmm...I'm sure you checked to make sure HIDE CLOCK is not checked and you touched the little dot in the middle of the color ring to set the change before rebooting?

FYI: I had to reboot 3 times to make the clock show up...

It would be great if a FAQ could be built on the most common issues and their solutions/status. This would of course involve work. For my issues I have done my best to read as much as possible and search, search and search some more.

One question I asked several pages ago that I don't think anyone answered is - what exactly is the issues some are having with the browser and specifically as it pertains to LP+? Is it just an issue with the bookmarks widget (I don't use this?)

I've also been looking into dipping my toe into the voltage settings - I've read the related Fascinate voltage thread and it has many peoples settings and results, but I'm not really sure which one should try first. Would someone mind pointing out the most conservative and basic voltage settings known to work with KB 1.3 and its included kernel?

Also, I had an odd issue this morning as my Fascinate was plugged in all night but when I woke up it was only at 67% charge. As I was charging it up at work I got a tremendously laggy slowdown and managed to initiate a reboot which hung and I had to pull the battery - I reboot and it seems like I lost a little over 10%. Any idea what's going on here (more than a bit concerning - perhaps its nothing - I did flash CM1.3 on a full charge and wiped battery stats right before flashing - not issues till today)? Thanks

*also can I just say that I really love CM1.3 although I have been dealing with some FC issues (I did restore app data via TB so it's likely on me) - before I went to something else I'd try starting from absolute scratch again. Can I also just say that I LOVE the MIUI lock screen? I usually use the pattern unlock, but I can't not use this. (only wish I could adjust my volume profile and assign phone icon to another program)

Hello all,

I've looked back through a few pages and didn't see aything that answered my question. I will search later but i figured I would throw up a quick question now.

I updated my phone to 1.3 because I had a problem with my calendar and figured it was time to update.

Well after updating my data service kind of works wen it wants to. Also my swype keyboard looks terrible, and the checks boxes in gmail are a terrible bright orange now.

Is there any way to fix the data problem and or fix the visual changes?

Any help is greatly appreciated :D

ICU I think a FAQ would be great..let us know when you get it done :P

If my memory serves me right, LP+ had problems with the key and the restore from TB. Some recommended un-installing, redownloading and re-entering your key.

Try this

uninstall lp+
flash broswer patch from op
reinstall lp+ and key

I took OTB off my phone and went with Comavolt and have had better luck. it is -75mv across the board 100-1000 I think. If you want to start with Voltage control..I would start with -50 100-1000(nitsuj17 recommended)... I had good luck with that. Or just flash comavolt and be done with it.

Battery Stats should be cleared after flashing the new ROM...hope that was just a typo.

your issues with the whole charging thing, could be as you said from a data restore from TiBU...or your battery stats weren't cleared right...try reclearing your bstats and see what happens.

hope that helps man..

With your issues going on, you might consider a new install, unless your happy with fc, charging, and other misc issues.

Hope that helps! :)

Gonna try the rom again since the first one failed so miserably. Going back to DI01, and then wipe version Froyo ED01, and then CR.

That said, should I wipe data/cache/dalvic after every full boot before I go to the new ROM? Also, when using Titanium, what system files should I restore? The list of what not to install is likely too big, so I figure that I have at least 6 Titanium suggested files to restore per their icon, but wanted to know what other felt about what they restore... apps with data, apps with data and system, or selected system files. If the latter, which ones?

Playing some catch up after being gone some time with work and life, and am looking for a nudge back to the groove.

Thanks in advance,

SuD.

[EDIT] Key to a successful load of the cm rom, for me, was to (Use TiBP) go back to DI01, boot to desktop, shut down. Boot into CWM, Factory Default, Clear dalvik and cache. Load ED01, boot to desktop, shut down. boot into CWM, Factory default, clear dalvik and cache. Load CommRom, reload CWM from op, boot to desktop, shut down. Boot into CWM, factory default, clear dalvik and cache. Reboot.

Market worked flawlessly
Downloaded TiBP and key
Restored 6 TiBP suggested system settings (wifi, bluetooth, etc. ones with TiBP logo)
Rebooted
Started TiBP and restored all apps and data and let it sit for a few mins. Rebooted
Let it sit for a few mintues
rebooted

The only thing that's odd is that 2 of my 3 angry birds didn't load, but so what.

The ROM is running flawlessly. The Factory Default in CWM had to be the difference because that's the only thing i didn't do before. From my ride from work to home, everything installed perfectly and is running without issue.

The only thing I need to test is sms and mms. SC made me have to install the Sammy SMS/MMS to make it work correctly, but I'll test as is and come back with a confirm if anything needs to be done. I'd rather not have to do anything from here, but I'd say that right now, I'm 95% happy with the way it has turned out. I hate having to spend all that time, but in the big scheme of things, it's all worth it and it's all good to have something running this smooth, looking this good, and being supported by the likes of everyone here. And yes, I'm running non-voodoo, but again, if it doesn't make much of a difference, then Odin makes is somewhat easier since i'm attached to a pc all day anyway.

Thanks for the nudge Lttlwing16. I wouldn't have done the factory reset from CWM without your suggesting from the provided link.

Check this out..

Also, I DL09'd then OTA to ED01...then KangBanged.. it has worked well..flashing the cache won't hurt anything. Wipe data in cwm before an after flashing COM ROM..

not really...you may not even notice a difference, but then again you may.

It's a better system for file writing....so the system can access faster..

it also supports color and sound improvements..

Check gunnermikes thread for more info..

FYI: I had to reboot 3 times to make the clock show up...

Me too, although I added a few check/unckeck/checks in the mix and it finally showed up.

On, another note, I have a question that I can't find the answer to...I haven't been that active in the last month or two which for the Android community means that it's a completely different world. I'm trying to find out if this ROM has the dummy tether fix so big red can't see us using the Wireless Tether. I can't find the answer even though this question was asked 3 different times without any answer from what I can tell.

a) the name of the dummy kernel changed and we're now calling it something else which makes it not show up for me
b) the name is the same but nobody knows
c) It was answered in another thread and nobody links to it from this one

Or some combination of the above... Thanks for an great ROM by the way!

So wireless tether won't work anymore? This is the only option now?

Try removing all previously saved wifi networks, hard boot.

If that fails, I'd re-flash and possibly re-flash modem.

Kanging since day one.
CommRom v1.3
OTB 1.3
ED01

Ok removed all the networks rebooted......no go. Reflashed ec01 radio and comrom 1.3 and still a no go. It detects the network and tries to connect but it seems to continually try to obtain an IP address and doesn't seem to be able to. I know the network is working cause my laptop is on it and the phone has connected to it prior to the last few days. Any ideas?
