What radio is included on this, or does it use whatever you still have on your phone? If I remember correctly, it does not have a radio, correct?

You are correct - No radio is included in the CommROM.

Thanks. That is what I thought. Just did a round about way over at xda to get the ED03 radio, only to find that with it I get 0 bars of signal. Just wanted to know if I could re-flash the ROM to get back EC01.

Edit: Found the EC01 radio and Odined it. All is good again.

I have a quick question about the installation of COM.
I started fresh with ED01.
Flashed Com Rom Final and let phone completely load up.
Flashed 1.2 and let phone completely load up.
Flashed 1.3 and after reboot and clearing cache, I have apps that should have been removed with 1.2 and 1.3.
Did I make a mistake or flash incorrectly?

1.3 is a full rom, not a patch..in other words 1.3 is all you need.

I am going to walk you through it but it's going to make you wipe all user data..if your not prepared for that step you can read up here...http://forum.androidcentral.com/verizon-fascinate-rooting-roms-hacks/85675-how-preparing-yourself-wipe-data-factory-reset-clockwork-recovery.html

1. Boot To recovery
2. Wipe Cache three times
3. Wipe Davlik Cache three times
4. Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5. Flash ComRom
6. Wipe data/Factory Reset again

Reboot system..

Let it boot fully and let the media scanner finish before you touch the phone..

hey guys does anyone have any clue how to help me out with a small problem i have i use the blueant T1 and S4 headset and speaker phone and with comrom when i try to use phone commands it says the phone doesnt have any built in commands it worked when nuance was installed in stock and on my moto droid it woks with google voice so im not sure whats up any suggestions would be helpful

I've recently wiped and started fresh on my device. I'm runnung EB03 kangbang 1.3 Since updating from 1.2 to 1.3 I no longer recieve FB notifications. I had never gotten them before kang bang.

Any suggestions?

I believe if you head over to XDA, it is available to download from the Evil Fascination thread.

EDIT: Yeah, it's there and listed under the ED01 stock downloads section of the OP

I think that has more to do with the Facebook app than anything else. Even running stock, I would only ever get them intermittently.

The only time I received FB notifications is when I had a text notification enabled via FB website. My app never notified me of anything, stock SC292 or ComRom.

Thats so bizzare, the only time Ive ever gotten notifications was on com rom. Except nothing on com rom 1.3

I will fiddle around some more and see if I can figure it out.

I will randomly get FB notifications on 1.3. (It's pretty rare though.)

I think i only got one facebook notification the whole time ive been using my fascinate.

I have seen numerous people posting they were having problems with the facebook app. The general consensus seems to be that the facebook app sucks, and friendcaster is the way to go. Seems everyone using friendcaster is getting all their notifications. There is a free version and a paid version for like $4. As far as I can tell from just a quick peek, the only difference between the two is ads and no ads.

Thanks. I've had the torch passed to me by DroidXcon. Hopefully I can just continue what he started and not let the torch burn out. Shouldn't be too much of a problem with all the help and support of everyone who is contributing to this forum.

is there a .zip file for the kernal thats in the comm rom? im thinking of trying out the comavolt kernal but if i dont like it want to be able to go back to what the comm rom came with w/out having to flash the entire package.

OTB 1.4 is in Comm ROM. This is the newest version of the OTB kernel v 1.5:
