[ROM][5/23/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO

Re: [ROM][4/1/12][4.0.4][AXI0M]Crossbreed/DRIVEN/PATIENT ZERO

Couple issues

Had tib restore all my apps, then the market says I have updates. When I try to update them, it says the app isn't compatible with my device.

Lockscreen wallpaper change makes rom control stop and wall isn't applied. :/

Others have had issues using tib to restore with V18, and it had me worried. Luckily I didn't suffer the issue. Maybe market is trying to catch up? I know it's been having issues as of late.

I've never tried to have a second wallpaper for lockscreen though... but I just tried to set one and received the same reponse.

Such is the life of installing cutting edge software.

Debating wether those are dealbreakers, but might just do liquid or maybe rootzboat since I like everything working. Got a fresh nandroid of v16 which was fine. Decisions to make. A bit ocd I guess.

Re: [ROM][4/1/12][4.0.4][AXI0M]Crossbreed/DRIVEN/PATIENT ZERO

Please help. I am new to this. I have rooted and installed the ROM Manager app from the Play Store and I have the radios .zip and the axi0m.zip saved on the root folder of my phone. When I select either one to install from SD card, it goes to a screen with a picture of the android bot laying down, chest plate open but with a red triangle and exclamation point in the triangle. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

You need to flash a custom recovery.

Open rom manager and select FLASH LATEST RECOVERY.

After that, read Cyber Warrior's thread, it's stickied in this subforum, and that will give you all the information you need to learn how to make backups (nandroid backups - these are very important, pls dont flash roms without making at least one backup first), flash roms, flash kernels, etc.

Don't flash roms thru rom manager, flash them thru custom recovery (Clockwork Mod Recovery).

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Okay, I did the Flash Latest Recovery, successfully, now I'm having trouble finding the thread by Cyber Warrior. I checked the OP in this thread but found nothing. Also, all the links for the AXI0M ROM seem like they're down. Any way to get the ROM?

the thread by cyber warrior is called [GUIDE] How to backup, flash roms ... etc (something like that. it's at the top of this subforum).

To get the axiom roms, check the Droidhive website - droidhive.com/forums

Go to the galaxy nexus device part (cdma), and there should be a roms section.

They're all in there.

Or, try rootzwiki - galaxy nexus cdma - axiom thread.

The links at either of those should be good.

If not, im sure we can get a mirror posted for ya.

GL, and i seriously recommend CW's thread, bc flashing roms in Rom Manager (and not in Recovery mode) will lead to more problems than it's worth ... Just learn the right way once and you'll almost never have an issue.

Re: [ROM][4/1/12][4.0.4][AXI0M]Crossbreed/DRIVEN/PATIENT ZERO

And if you are on a stock ROM, the custom recovery will not stick unless you take more action besides just flashing the custom recovery. Check the other thread ongoing about losing the custom recovery.

Yes, also that's really only applicable for once you "lose" root by flashing an OTA or if that crazy file exists.

Also, updating the first post now.

Anyone have a screenshot of the new softkeys? If they're from that AXI0M theme I will happily replace them instantaneously. Some of the worst softkeys I've ever seen IMHO.

Yeah just installed it myself, I'm digging it.

I agree maybe that's why I have to change the look of my phone daily.

It is good, unless it looks tacky ;). I prefer the Transformer Prime Softkeys, or the ICS/roboto text ones. Those were freaking hot fire. I may need to get on them...

Ok where'd the file go? The download link for the ROM comes up Not Found, the requested URL blahblahbalh.zip was not found on this server.
