[ROM][5.5.11] BAMF Remix 1.6 - NOW IN ROM MANAGER!

Not a prob. Try the xda DL and let me know how it goes. There's also an add on thread for the rom. I'm not sure if you're aware of it but it shouldn't be located too far from the rom thread

DL'ing now, will report back. Just to make sure I'm not goofin' up, the v1.6.3 is the only thing i have to download and install, correct? I'm not missing any other files am I?

No additional files needed. Just the rom. Unless you follow the add on thread. Then you gotta flash that stuff too

And you have clockwork mod installed?

Sometimes the system needs a factory reset after flashing a new rom. I've had to do it on my galaxy tab and a few times on my bolt

Yep, thats what I used to make my backup.

I followed the directions in the " [Auto] Root and Unroot (Windows)**Updated**4/23" thread to root

then I followed the directions in the "[Guide] How to Backup, Restore & Install ROMs on The Thunderbolt" thread...

I don't know how I messed up...

Also, when I use the volume - + power to go into recovery, it automatically loads hboot/fastboot and wont allow me to choose recovery, it automatically asks me to load the update zip file that upgraded during the root process. after upgrading, I have to redownload clockwork, and then boot into recovery and load my backup...

Anybody else having battery go back to pre-root levels after switching to 1.6? BAMF 1.5 gave me amazing battery life, but now it's back to lasting only 3-6 hours or so. I even have started using setcpu now (1408/245 ondemand, and 245/245 screenoff) and the battery still drops fairly regularly. Any ideas?

Jace I was having that same problem. Then I downloaded Battery Calibration from the Market and my battery is amazing. Lasted 21hrs yesterday with moderate use. I had to turn on 4G to try and kill it quicker so I could do the full calibration. And even with 4G on and nonstop use, I went from 67% to dead in 3 hours. Which I don't think is terrible considering I didn't put my phone down for almost 3 hours.

I've been off the charger for 3 hours and it still says 100% battery... how often should I calibrate?

You calibrate once after you have flashed a new rom. When it get's to 100 percent, take it off charger, and calibrate, then let it drain to 0 or very close, and recharge to 100 percent again (recommended).

Does BAMF allow you to re-assign the volume buttons? The problem I have is that I like to keep my volume at either full blast, vibrate, or off....I don't need anything in between. And BAMF has the volume rocker in the notifications bar, so I don't need the physical rocker to work...

In actuality the volume rocker is more of a pain because 1/2 the time I put my phone in it's case, I accidentally push the rocker and turn down the volume...this ends up making me miss calls because of the lower volume. I would like the volume buttons to work for media volume and other items...I just want to turn it off for call/ringer volume.

Is this possible currently or maybe in newer version?

Thanks.

You have to delete the pg05img.zip file from your sd card

So I've flashed this a few times, wiping all data and caches every time, and I still have Verizon bloat on there. In addition, the Wifi/Data/GPS etc are not visible on my notification bar. I saw someone had posted about that earlier in the thread, but nobody responded. Unless anyone has any ideas, I'm rolling back to Remix 1.5.

Did you try to download the file again and flash the new file? Clear cache partition and dalvik cache twice? Fixed permissions?
what version of recovery do you have installed?

I did try redownloading and reflashing, wiping data and clearing dalvik. As for recovery, do you mean what Clockwork version? (Still trying to learn the ins and outs of Android, haha) If so, I have Clockwork Mod 3.0.2.5. Funny thing, when I went back to BAMF without remix, they're still gone. So it must not be ROM specific. Any ideas? Thanks!
