I'll give that a shot when I get the chance. Will let you know what happens. thanks
Let me know how this works for you, as I have also been getting the freezing issues, same as you.

Great looking rom! Unfortunately for me though, there are a lot of freezes, roughly 3 minutes into usage, which result in a battery pullout. The home keys seem to stay lit but the haptic feedback is not there. I thought it might have been the twilight kernal because the same thing happens when I try to flash syndicate but after flashing the vision kernal with ace, the freezing still persists :/ Really want to use this rom but I don't know what to do...I've tried reflashing the rom many times, starting back from stock using odin, wiping data, cache, dalvic, etc...anyone have any suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciated![]()

Also, the VisionKernel is BASED on Twilight, meaning that aside from a few performance tweaks and some extreme overclocking potential, it IS Twilight. If you are having freezing issues, give the Genocide kernel a shot. I had freezing issues with Genocide kernel when I undervolted at all (despite being able to undervolt fairly extreme under midnight rom), so I switched back to Twilight which has been a rock- it may be the opposite for you. Some devices just work better with other kernels. Mine seems to like Twilight..
Alternatively, you can also try the Bonsai kernel (you would have to extract from the Bonsai or Midnight ROM I believe), or you could even try a stock EC05 kernel for the time being. You could even try the Baked Snack kernel, but you would have to pay $5 to access his forums (or circumvent the process by consulting Google), and after installing you would need to run the one-click-root process to gain Superuser access again. Good luck..
Midnight has an RFS version. Also, I had issue with Odin and the one click root recognizing my phone, I switched from an XP computer to ones running Vista and Windows 7 and they finally worked. And on the first try too.
it does not recognize it im desperate at this point
oh i hate his rom with all that autism things hes tryna force on people. but ill have no choice to install it to see if i can install CWM3 from his rom and bounce asap
Added an optional ACE ROM v2.0 stock theme battery mod. See 2nd post for download link & preview screenshot.
Same exact look, just changed to a different battery mod.
Actually there is about exactly a 40 mb different in size between the ROM's framework and the modded one I did.. Same exact framework files so it must be the difference in the pngs used for the battery mod. Different colors, shapes=less memory used.Paul627g, are you sure you dont have a memory leak in the primary theme?? I have rebooted the phone a few times with the Android guy theme and my free RAM was consistently around 160MB before using things (I use Android Assistant to kill excess tasks just as a test- I dont use task killers).
After installing the flashable theme (battery icon), I immediately gained 40MB of free RAM, where my widget is now reporting 204MB free! Did you change anything else or does the primary have a memory leak? I havent changed ANYTHING else..

Could be the animation graphic files for the battery mod that is making the big difference also...
Thats the only difference my friend.

No prob. Hopefully the Genocide will work for you, different kernels for different devices... Sounds weird but it works.Flashed genocide kernal and so far so good! Hopefully it'll keep up! Thanks again GSF and thanks Paul for the awesome rom!

Quick question. I'm currently on ACE 1.7. So that means EB13. What is the best way for me to get to EC05? Do I just flash the eb13-ec05.zip file and then the ACE 2.0 rom and that's it?
Just doing a nadroid backup now before doing anything.
Sorry if this question has been answered, too many threads to go through.
Thanks for getting this done Paul, I look forward to using ACE Rom 2.0![]()
If I were you, I would try the samsung software update tool available on their website to try and get it back to stock. If that doesn't work, I would desperately try to figure out a way to get a stock eb13 or ec05 on there and take it in under warranty..
