ROM ALERT: Baked Snack v1.6 [update6]

Yeah I haven't been granted access to the forums, either. Been patiently waiting for this release, guess I will have to continue to do so...

im going with noobnl for the time being. you probably should too haha unless you got access to his forum.

once i see the changelog for baked 1.4 ill be able to decide what i want my setup to be

Just installed the ROM. I'll let you know how it is after I play with it a little.

I don't remember if this was in all Baked Snack ROMS, but I'm really enjoying changing screen brightness on this one.

It treats the notification bar at the top like a slider for brightness. I really don't need the Power Tools widget anymore.

Considering it's my first ROM, I am impressed ... 1.3 GHz and stable and I have done everything possible, from uploading to the NEW youtube all the way to tethering 5 devices on 4G and Wifi. VERY VERY impressed.

This is actually a feature the Epic has right out of the box.

how long does it usually take for him to make his releases public?

Usually just a few days.

1.4 is out, but not public. It is incredibly smooth and responsive and battery seems very solid. Unfortunately, the newest release on the XDA Epic forum seems to have everyone in a tizzy (see my rom alert I just posted) so it looks like I will be running that for a while :).

I've been waiting for 1.4 but I'm not going to donate for something I don't even know if i'm going to like/use. If I liked it I would be more inclined to donate, but since I have to donate before hand i'm going to pass... Think I will give SyndicateROM a shot, with xtremekernel.

I am going to try it as well, but I wonder why they don't mention speeds they are getting? I only see them pointing out 1GHz as stable.

I thought on the stock epic you slid your finger to the left or to the right ON the drop down window, and it wasn't a continuous brightness change.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I was using it like that before.

That's a good point - I've never tired anywhere except right on the notification bar, but it did always seem like a continuous change.
