ROM ALERT: Baked Snack v1.6 [update6]

For the brightness.
You pull the bar down as little as possible. You don't need to slide.

If you put your finger to the left you get low.and vice versa
Sliding works to if you want to adjust it perfectly.

Imagine if thee was a number line on the notification bar
I don't quite understand what you guys were trying to figure out

After flashin this kernal my epic was unable to boot and as stuck on the samung startup screen indefinetly until I flashed to my old kernal w.clockwork

same for me. had to reflash 1.3 to boot correctly

he says its not going to work basically. its because he undervolts it too much. i think thats cool if he can keep it stable. but instead he goes overboard and releases buggy work.

Do you prefer this over Epic Experience ROM w/Baked Snack 1.3 kernel? I still like this combination with overclock widget 200 - 1300.

now i use the syndicate rom too. i used to use that exact setup your talking about. but syndicate just kicks ass. they are very professional and have the best work in my opinion

I flashed this ROM with his special kernel, and it is working wonderfully.

are you using his old kernel?

or the one that says "may not work on some phones do to major damn undervolting"?

the special kernel i think is the one from 1.4

A second special kernel was released alongside Baked Snack v1.5. I used it for a while but my phone didn't like the super-low voltages. Now I'm using the kernel that comes in v1.5 at 1.2GHz and my phone flies.

Hmm... I used the updated kernel with version 1.5 and my benchmark was slower than with the baked snack 1.3 kernal.

1.3 I got 1041
1.5 I got 967

Don't get too hung up on those scores. Many developers who make these ROMs have said themselves these scores are not a good way to measure phone performance.

The best test: put it through it's paces yourself :D

i think theres nothing wrong with quadrants.

i think the only reason they say that is because of what is done on the vibrant for the "lag fix" and another example would be the droid x.

but for just a ballpark idea of how your phone is i think its ok. or to test your graphics/fps like i do. i know there are others i just dont have them

I got the update and it seems really snappy. I don't notice much improvement with the battery life. Anyways, it says in the system that it's only version 1.4 even though I downloaded the 1.5 zip file. Is that the name of it or what? I didn't really see any problems when installing this.

Also, after installing this mod, I can't download Google Earth again. It doesn't show up at all in the market. What gives? Is it not compatible with the ROM or kernal?

Hero_Over forgot to change the version number in the About phone screen - you have v1.5.

As for Google Earth not sure - I don't use it. You could try contacting the dev on his website.

Heis or rag,

Are you guys trying this out?

Let me know how you like it if you are.
I'm thinking of giving it a try

I'm using the 1.6 kernel, but I'm holding off on the ROM until Hero_Over comments about the calendar and disc view FC's.
