I have been noticing that when I set the newest 7/14 nightly that my phone is not vibrating when I get a text message. Either that or it's just set so low that I am not noticing it even when I am holding the phone, any suggestions?

In the messaging app hit settings, at the bottom of the menu set vibrate option to always.

lightflow 2.12.4 works perfectly! I just had to alter some default settings like led flash rate . default is always on.other than that it is perfect. just google it to download it.You'll always get notification of update though.

Jesus I feel so stupid I look everywhere but the obvious place. it's always the small things I forget after flashing a new rom

Re: [ROM][JB][AOSP] 4.1.1 Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus - 7/14/1

I bought my Nexus back in May and have been running stock ICS since then. A few 4.0.4 bugs made me decide to give this ROM a try. I flashed in yesterday and have been extremely impressed so far. The speed and responsiveness of JB is awesome. Huge step forward from ICS (which was pretty darn good). Google Now is pretty cool and works well, I can definitely see myself using that often in the future.

I've only found two apps that don't work:
Light Flow
DailyMail Online

Both of those are known app issues that the developers are working on. Otherwise, this is a really great step forward and I'll likely stick with this ROM for the foreseeable future.

LightFlow doesn't work? Thats one of my most critical apps. I guess I'll wait on flashing this then. And I was just about ready to do it. Good thing I read your post.

I've used light flow on every version of this without issue.

OK, that's more comforting. Thanks.

So, just so I understand the process correctly...

I'm currently running Vicious. I put the rom onto the phone, wipe everything, flash the rom from recovery and that's it?

I don't know how people flash things so often. It always takes me quite sometime to get things set up back the way I had them - correct widget settings, calendar widget, email settings, re-downloading apps, etc.

Yes that's right. And it gets easier/faster to set things up again with practice :)
Used to spend an hour or more on it, now about 20-30 minutes, maybe more if I'm distracted.

Does anyone else have a problem with sounds sounding crackly and it freezing up when it makes a tone for a text or something? I've had to do a battery pull 3 times today because of it stuttering on a text coming in and then the screen stays black. I am on the 7/13 build and it was fine for the first 2 days.

First I've heard of that.. Did you do a full wipe? If yes did you restore any system data?

I did a full wipe and followed all of the instructions within Wug's tool to unlock and root. I went from stock 4.0.4 to BB. I didn't restore anything from file, just redownloaded some apps afterwards and basically started fresh.

Very odd. And it's only on incoming sms or other notifications as well?

I've only been on BB for a day, but I followed exactly the same procedure as you and don't have any of those issues, FWIW.

Re: [ROM][JB][AOSP] 4.1.1 Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus - 7/14/1

Seems like it does it for anything that makes a sound, but not always. Most of the time it sounds fine but like I said it's happened 3 times today where it required a battery pull cause the screen wouldnt come on after the notification sound. Actually twice were because of that, the first I did it because my battery was draining about 10% in 30 minutes doing nothing but sitting in my pocket on the way to work. I have a suspicion that it is Google Now gathering information and making cards, but no real info to back that up. Just know it had created a card for my travel to work and back.

Re: [ROM][JB][AOSP] 4.1.1 Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus - 7/14/1

I think tomorrow I'll flash to the 7/14 build and see if it clears anything up. I'll download fewer apps back as well, maybe one of them is buggy with Jelly Bean and causing it? The crackle sound is like if the volume was too high for a speaker, and I have only used the included sounds.

Re: [ROM][JB][AOSP] 4.1.1 Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus - 7/14/1

Google Now works on the back end (it's done server-side at Google's end), so it shouldn't be that. The only work by your phone is receiving a small card update - it's intelligent push, not a heavy phone calculation.

I am right there with you 2def it used to take me an hour I have the process down to 30 minutes now and that has come from practice from all the flashing
