[ROM][AOSP][10/31][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

When I try to paste the stock browser in the system/app directory it says the folder is read only. Am I missing something?

I downloaded it again, tried moving it again with no change. Rebooting didn't help either. With root access I should be able to move it there right?

You need to download the offline language pack in settings.

You need to hit the button on the top right (in root explorer) to mount /system as RW :)

Anyone know where i can get the stock BB kernel if something goes wrong? I always like to have a backup on my SD card incase i have a booting issue.

I think the best way is to just re-flash the rom (without a full wipe).

I just wiped my device and I'm going to do an absolutely, 100% clean install of this. Was planning on doing this when source dropped anyway :).

Yep, that will work..

You can also pull the kernel out of the ROM zip.. its the boot.img file. Then if you know your fastboot you can fastboot flash it easily:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Just good to know different ways of doing things :)
Here I pulled the kernel out to save you a step anyways, if anyone wants it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47300967/boot.img

Re: [ROM][JB][AOSP] 4.1.1 Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus - 7/13/1

Also, there's an update coming tonight that should resolve that 5ghz network issue (ehem, Vance, ehem).

I normally would install the Trinity kernel right after flashing a new ROM. I have been on the stock kernel since flashing a few days ago. I seem to be getting slightly better battery life from this over the past 4.1 ROMs with Trinity. Don't know if it's the kernel or more of the AOSP effect. Of course, I will be testing out the Trinity kernel very shortly to try and find out.

I just went back to stock so I'm going to stay on it for the night to see what's what, and then back to either trinity or franco.
