are the permissions correct and sometimes just placing the app in the correct location and rebooting has fixed it for me

Tried Franco... phone wasn't liking it too much. I wasn't really digging his 700min cpu and conservative governor recommendation... phone felt like it was lagging.

Running JDs and the phone is flying and battery life is the best i've ever had.. I actually didn't even have to charge my phone last night. I'm making it through most days with 40-50% left with moderate use.

Still running JDs kernel? Any problems yet? I seen he just posted his Jan 15th nightly. I was running Franco Jan 12th kernel but was having a problem with rebooting when using the browser.

I tried running 1.1.1 with jd's kernel all day. Battery was horrible. Flashed back to Franco's kernel was working much better. Rom was smooth with both. I still noticed Google maps was running on its own with both kernels so it could be something with the rom or another app turning it on. Does anyone else have this happening?

I'm running 1.1.1 stock kernel. When I go to the recent apps maps is always there coming from reboot. If I swype it away it does not show back up until I reboot again.

Tried rebooting to see if that happened but it didn't. Maps was not running. Still randomly turning itself on. Also, what are people doing to get this great battery life? I've noticed slight improvement using this rom but nowhere near the numbers some people are getting. To be honest using JD's kernel I barely got 4hours of moderate to heavy use. I get about 6 hrs using Franco's kernel. Any tips?

I like the "Candy" setting using Clock 2 when screen is asleep, but is there a way/update to seeing the battery % charged along w/ the clock?

I'm running JD's 1/15 kernel. Battery life is great.

Didn't get the same results going to have to try a different Kernel, for some reason ever since 1.1.1 I seems to have a little worse battery life. If different kernel doesn't fix the drain I'll wipe and flash again,.

First rom I've flashed on the gnex and so far I'm more than happy. Everything is running perfectly smooth.

Is it really worth using a different kernel with this rom? Are the results (battery/etc) that drastically different?

Screw it, giving Franco 12 a shot!

I tried franco 12 a try but I'm currently on Imoseyon's 1.6.1 and I've had better battery life because I was able to undervolt

Settings... applications... all... Google Plus... go in and wipe cache/data and then re-open the app. You can also try reflashing the Gapps.

I decided to change to Franco's #12 as well - I like the speed. Bought the kernel updater app too.
So far, I am very happy with everything you recommend.

Keep it up,

Actually I just flashed franco's new nightly #12 and dayyyammm I can feel the difference... I'll be sticking with this kernel for a good while. He also fixed the problem with his kernel updater app.. If you're not sure what that is I think its worth the $1 and change in the market for it.. Lets you download his nightlies quicker, but importantly lets you easily enable the hotplug settings under any governor. For those unfamiliar, this basically turns off 1 core of the CPU when the screen is off to really save on battery life. Its entirely stable, no worries. You can enable it all on your own but it involves editing some code in init.d and somewhere else using root explorer, but the app does it all for you.

Highly recommend this kernel :)

Using the exact same setup. Its been great. The app is well worth it.

What kernel updater app?

BTW do you guys own ROM Manager or using the freebie?
Will the paid version notify me of newer versions of this rom, etc?

Franco.Kernel Updater - it's on the Market for a $1 plus change. It will notify you when Franco posts an update - and it allows you to shut off one CPU core while the screen is off (saves battery).
I bought ROM Manager back when I had the Original DROID (It's specific to my google account not the phone) I use it to Flash CWR.

I use the paid one and I believe that it will notify you of an update, if you did it through ROM Manager. I would recommend installing ROMs the manual way to avoid any issues.

I have flashed to this rom this morning. Everything works fine except I can't make a call or receive. I just get the busy signal. Please help. This is my first time doing the rom installation. Thank you so much.

Did you wipe data and cache in recovery before flashing? I woiuld recommend booting into recovery and wipe again then flash again the rom first then gapps.
