[ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.5.5 [Full Open Source]

Re: [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.1.1 [Full Open Source]

I tried franco 12 a try but I'm currently on Imoseyon's 1.6.1 and I've had better battery life because I was able to undervolt

Tried Franco #12 for about 15 minutes, lol. Now on Imoseyon's Lean Kernel 1.6.6 for the undervolting as well.

The biggest thing that was weird for me while on the Franco #12 kernel was that CWM Recovery was acting stupid after the Franco kernel flash in that the Power button to make a selection would just make the screen go off/on and wouldn't execute the selection. Had to do battery pulls to reboot. Happened several times. Thank goodness for a removable battery!!!

Imoseyon lean kernel seems to work best for me too, nothing wackywith the power buttons but I could tell on battery life. Funny how each phone acts different for roms and kernels and because of that it's great to have different options.

did you modify your voltage settings with that ROM or leave them as is? also do you use SetCPU to adjust these settings or does the kernal have some way of setting that up? I currently use SetCPU.

I had issues in CWM with the power button just shutting the screen off on JDs kernel but it works fine on Franco #12....weird.

I use SetCPU and under volt to 920 max and 350 min (don't notice any lag) and I also have a profile when screen is off 700 max. Doing that and using 2X Battery my battery when screen is off doesn't move more then 1% every hour or 2.

I was having trouble with this as well, until I noticed it was showing "back disabled" (or similar). Press volume up & volume down at the same time and it should say "back enabled" and work fine. Odd 'feature'...

Did anyone catch the link before rootz went black?

I got this morning. Took forever to get through, but I got it and am running it now with my JD kernel.

I'm in the same boat. Looks like Rootz went black right before I was getting ready to download.

OK, I know that Quadrant benchmark test are crap...not optimized for duel core, not optimized for ICS, yada, yada, yada (though I can't for the life of me understand why none of these benchmark apps can get optimized for as long as duel cores have been out...what's up with that?). I will concede that their scores may not be valid as they apply from one persons phone to another (with all the different things that we may have installed on our individual devices), but don't they hold any validity when measuring your own phone? I just ran ran Quadrant after installing 1.1.4 (from a fresh boot) with the stock kernel and got scores around 1600 even. Then I flashed Franco's #12 kernel and 5 minutes after testing against the stock kernel (not having installed any other apps, and from a fresh boot) got 3032. That's almost twice as fast. Seems like a huge difference. I did notice that on Franco's kernel, my phone flew through the CPU and IO test (pretty slow in that area on the stock kernel). Does this mean nothing?

If you understand that they ARE meaningless, don't run them, and don't post them :)
