A bit of a noob question - under the settings menu where it says "custom carrier label," is this referring to the pulldown notification bar where it says "Verizon Wireless"?

IS there a way to backup your desktop? Like where you had placed all your icons?

Also, if you backup your apps + gapps using that galaxy toolkit program for windows, would that cause problems? It says only do to it if it's the same rom, does an updated rom count as the same rom?

I'm having the same issue it appears to be related to the lockscreen options.

It's really too bad since the lock screen options were one of the main reasons I flashed this. Oh well I still like it.

I am very new to install Rom. But I was able manage installing Codename Android 1.1.1 and Google apps. I had one big issue but with your help, I was able to fix it. Now I noticed that there's 1.1.4 version released. I am just wondering if I have to delete all data and cache before I flash 1.1.4 on top of 1.1.1? If I do, do I have to install Gapp again? If I don't have to delete, do I need to install Gapp again or just leave that out? Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes.. In clockwork recovery wipe data/factory reset, also a good idea to format /system. Then install, and install the Gapps again afterwards (make sure you use the newest Gapps in case you have an older one, they are linked in the OP).

I installed the 1.1.4 Mod and it is fantastic but I do not see the toggle LTE feature on the pull down screen.

my FB sync never worked. When i installed FB and set it to sync my existing contacts, it never downloaded any profile pics. i checked accounts & sync and I did see the option turned on and it supposedly syncs without any issues. is there a trick to making this work? i am still on 1.1.1.
I ended up using friendcaster.

SETTINGS > CODENAME SETTINGS > NOTIFICATION WIDGET > WIDGET BUTTONS > TOGGLE LTE
Widget Button Order lets you change the order around too.

When the Google Apps Mod is downloaded it prompts me for 3 check boxes

One is to back up

One is to Wipe Data

One is to Wipe Dalvik Cache and that one alone is already checked off

Do I go from there or should I uncheck it or check more then that one

It works. You only can view one group at a time.

People > menu >select facebook

This will only allow you to view facebook contacts. From the people app you can join gmail contacts with facebook contacts.

oh wow, so you have to manually connect all your FB contacts? in the past with HTC Sense and Blackberry, it would automatically link up my contacts. I think my email address and/or phone number. Friendcaster does a pretty good job of that for me as well. There are usually just a few that I have to manually connect. That kind of sucks if you have to manually connect them all.

Yeah I personally use friendcaster to sync. It does a little better job than the fb app. I had to manually sync only a few.

Yep this is pure android my friend, it does not operate like HTC. Its one of the features I miss about Sense ui.

Flash theme just like a rom. If you dont like the theme reflash the rom, it will remove the theme.
