[ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.5.5 [Full Open Source]

re: [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.2.0 [Full Open Source]

My phone a few times as rebooted and come up as time to activate your phone.
All apps, settings etc are still there though.

With the lock screen, it seems as though we are extremely limited to what apps we can include in the circle when unlocking.
For instance, why can't I choose to unlock and go to G+ or FB, or to a certain gallery, etc.

Anyone else notice this?

Yeah my phone rebooted once and asked to activate. I hit activate and my normal screen came on. Must've went into a deep sleep. It was one off so I didn't mind as much.

Codename Android Update?

I'm running Codename Android 1.1.1 now.
If I want to update to 1.1.4 do I just download and flash it?
What should I backup or wipe?

In Rom Manager, why doesn't it show up as an "Update Available"?

If you want to download using Rom Manager don't check for ROM updates go to Download ROM>Codename>then select 1.1.4. I would make a nandroid backup in recovery before download/flashing and I would suggest wipe everything.

Do not upgrade to 1.1.4 yet. A new upgraded release is imminent (tonight)!

Re: [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.2.0 [Full Open Source]

Drop down toggles have always been there. You enable them via settings.

Pardon my blindness...

We are talking about wifi/data/brightness toggles that you can add to the drop down menu?

I cant find this option anywhere in settings...

Thank you!!

Hello all,

I have recently rooted my Galaxy Nexus (Verizon). All steps went well, and the device was rooted with no complications. I purchased Rom Manager Premium and tried to download the Codename Android ROM. With premium, you can do it from the phone. The steps went well until rebooting - my device is staying on the reboot screen (with all the colorful squares), and has been like this for at least three hours. Any suggestions? I know that pulling the battery may brick the device, so I just have it plugged in to the charger. Seems like a great ROM and I really want to add it.

TL;DR: Rooted phone, stuck on reboot screen, don't want to pull battery.

Thanks!

Jesus.. yeah anything longer than 10 minutes is safe to assume something screwed up.. lol

Pull battery, reboot into bootloader (Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power), scroll to reboot recovery. Try again from there...

Sorry you spent the money on ROM Manager, I advise people against it.. Mostly for times like this where you need to know how to navigate clockwork recovery. Also, it screws up things you aren't likely to screw up if you take care of it all yourself.

I have not had any problems so far using the ROM manager yet not to say that I wont have any *crosses fingers* So from what I have read 1.2.0 is the latest update correct? what Kernnel is working best for this ROM if anybody knows.....?

Everybody's phone is different, responds to different kernels differently. The kernel included in 1.2.0 was designed for the ROM, so I'm giving it a shot for a bit and I'll see how it performs and treats battery life (keep in mind a ROM install takes a couple cycles before you know how it will affect battery). If for any reason I'm not pleased there are plenty of other great kernel options out there. Just because one works great for one person it might not be as good on your phone.

Do you happen to know what kernel was used for 1.14? That was stellar, this new one is ok so far.
