Did you delete data and cache before flashing?

Well I bit the bullet and went with apex since it was my first rom back at 1.4 and figured it deserved a chance over liberty. It's good but a few issues I've noticed. The big one is it is running my phone extremely hot. I'm oc to 1.3 and have been for sometime and it ran flawlessly on liberty but with apex the phone gets hot enough it just freezes and reboots. For some reason it happens on words with friends more than anything but its not specific to it. That's about my only complaint so far. It didn't improve my ram usage at all as someone stated. Not beating apex at all, if I didn't have these issues I'd love it but it is major.

Try undervolting/overclocking with QuickClock Advanced App. Oh, and check out the ram below....

Sounds like things are conflicting there then, :-( I'm sure you wiped data and cache before flashing, other than that I strongly suggest the quickclock app as it calibrates undervolting/overclocking to YOUR phone specs and not just a number you punched in or a preset. worth a shot if you like AOSP roms.

Having APEX, RC2....is it just me, or does the Beautiful Widgets Toggle Widget for the Vibrate go straight to Silent? the icon in the top bar shows the "x" too even, nothing about 'vibrate' at all... i typically use QuickSettings but a one-button approach would be nice.

wasnt sure if it's an apex thing or not.

Saw this great tip yesterday, the launcher on Apex has a cool action. If you hard press the home key or dots you get these cool little prescreens that pop up.

if previous versions of apex are any indication, this probably is the final release, and you wont see much, if anything, updated in the future. i wouldnt be surprised if fab was running CM7 on his X

Oh man, just spent the last hour+ getting this installed.

Had to SBF back to Froyo, root it, install the rooted GB+patch and then install this.

Now to play around with it!

EDIT: Wow.. I'm blown away by the speed. This is infinitely faster than .596 that Moto released. I dont know what planet they think it's acceptable to release software that slows down hardware, but you can really see the true power of a DroidX when it's not running Moto's garbage-blur.

This ROM kicks a**. It is even better than 1.4 which I didn't think was possible. The only two things I really miss are the reboot option and the ability to use real HDMI.

Nice work fab, can't believe you aren't making big bucks selling your work.
