[ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS (ZVD)

Go into Settings > Developer Options and tap where it says 'Root Access' and change it to 'Apps and ADB'

still didn't work :/ in fact i have the same problem with any version of cm9 or cm10 on my tablet as well.

it works on kraven's cm9 though

Yes, looks like 7/31 is going to be our beta2.
Is this based on a nightly or the recently released AOKP milestone 6? Still learning how this one works, loving the ROM on another device, but hating the emasculating pink unicorn BS... :)

Based on my nightly. I don't follow either cm or aokp releases.

How does the built-in Apps2SD script in this ROM work? I the AOKP version of the 07/31 nightly yesterday and when installing applications my internal space filled and I was no longer able to install apps when I still had over 800 MB free in my sd-ext partition. It appears as though some apps installed on the sd-ext partition but not all.

I only ask since the OP and the website both seem to strongly suggest against using separate *2SD scripts.

Thanks for the help. I really want to try out AOKP's feature to compare them to CM.

Make sure you do a full wipe, you probably have apps on the /data partition, causing the script to refuse to bind to /data/app.

What I did was check to see what apps were installed on the SD Card through Move to SD vs Move to Phone. If it installs the app on the SD Card NOT SD Ext, and it prompts you to move to phone, it takes up a bit more data/data on the internal than if not, plus it creates errors in the script when it boots. A majority of the data/data can be symlinked to the SD Ext (But not the WHOLE Folder since system apps do use it) and you can save internal that way, but it's a long and tedious process depending on how many apps you use. You COULD do the whole folder, but as TDM advised against and I found out through testing, it WILL factory reset your phone if the sd card unmounts while you're in the middle of an app; so pick and choose folders based on space and if unsure google the folder id to see if it's system or not. Yea, it's a bit more work, but you get this feeling of satisfaction when you get your phone JUST the way you want it after a good hour or two of actual work, and plus if you wanna take the easy way, or just don't know how to make a symlink, use Root Explorer. It's a nice little file manager that is pretty powerful. I have Root Explorer and ES File Manager on my rom, and I use both cause they both have ups and downs. TBF Root Explorer DOES cost money, but it's worth it cause it's cheap and easy to use.

Also TDM, I can't seem to get simplydev up. Are there any other sites I can get the nightlys from, I just got my phone back and wanna up it, am running 7-25 atm

Hey guys I got a quick question. I searched the thread for this already and it appeared that the issue had already been fixed in one of the nightlies so I'm a little stuck. Rooted an S for someone last night and used the 07/31 CM9 nightly. Apparently the MMS is not working? Thought I remembered reading that the apk had already been replaced in one of the nightlies...is that not the case? Like I said I searched the thread but I couldn't find much.

EDIT: Now says doesn't think MMS is sending. Receives MMS and selects download but nothing ever actually downloads

Try wiping the dalvik, cache, and formatting the sd-ext in recovery. Not the sd card, just the sd-ext then reboot. If you put the card in with the phone booted into the rom that tends to throw it off. The card needs to be in the phone and booted from power off state or out of recovery

Have you tried vmroms.com?

Got beta2 promoted, it's the 7/31 nightly. Please let me know if there are any issues with the web pages or links. Like I need to ask... :p

Haven't been able to connect to goo.im (mobile...."unable to retrieve list", desktop...."the site is taking too long to respond" ) or simply.dev ("cannot find server") last two days.

Sent from my LG-LS670

CM9 and aokp are different in that they are two different versions(flavors) of ICS. They have different features. aokp is supposedly more customizable. However, i don't use it because it doesn't have a data toggle in the notification bar(that's annoying to me :P ), and something about unicorn porn bothers me.

nightlies are just where tdm's builds sync with cyanogenmod9's and update the rom everyday. but they've stopped because they're probably working on jellybean.

the gapps is here.

Go with whichever one you like. You can try both. Beta 2 is the newest one, it's also known as the 7/31 nightly.

also, I like your signature.

hey thanks alot man i appreciate all that information, im going to give them a try and see what i like and im glad knew or found out what that meant haha paradox free!

Primary link is down? Was hoping to update the latest AOKP nightly.

Nightly builds are sporadic, they only build when there are changes in the source. Beta2 is pretty fresh, I'd suggest that.

I am sorry just wondering if there were any changes to beta2 from 7/31 nightly? I know 7/31 is the latest nightly just wasnt sure how beta2 fared against it?

Regardless 7/31 is running great. Huge difference from some of the earlier builds.
