You must use a froyo ROM for activation. Any other Android ROM above android version 2.2 will not work. The activate APK will fail.

Use adb. Look it up on the forums, there is tons of info. Google too.

The file is /proc/last_kmsg

Nope that should work also.

I can't seem to figure out how to enable a toggle for 3g data in the status bar. I'm using an LS670. I'm looking at the list of toggles available in the "enable toggles" menu and I don't see data anywhere. Is this not an option?

Usually I just "cat /proc/last_kmsg" in a terminal emulator (or adb), but ya, file managers could work too.

Aokp does not have that option.
