[ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS

I say we ditch this one and move onto CM10!! Optimus S has it! I'm jk btw I realize how much work this is to get a much older phone running even 4.0.4. Just wanted to say thanks for all this hard work TDM and if, somehow we can help, let me know.

I'll be making jb soon enough. I haven't decided whether to continue with ics after I start making jb though....

I'm not 100% how stuff works, not even 50% but I believe if you are to get the auto rotate kernel working, that would be one less step or make it much easier in JB. That being said, are you going to outright start JB or will you get as far as you can with this ICS first?

Auto rotate is mostly matching the kernel and user space for ami304. I'll try to get that fixed soon. Other than a few details here and there like the bt reboot, I'm pretty much done with ics. There are maybe ten issues to fix.

My late updates as of the 07.20.12 nightly for AOKP. I've changed immediately to SmartassV2 with every install, whether AOKP or CM9.

Google Drive: Closes after 1 download, repeats after another.
Google Maps: Crashes on open, & after first and second searches. Resets itself in between.

Despite warnings, I've moved apps to SD drive inside the ROM. Maybe I misunderstood the warnings, despite warnings, despite warnings.

For some reason, as the launcher loads, Nova or not, the Phone icon always loads last.

Firstly, again, thanks to TDM and everyone who is contributing to making this and everything for the VS660 a better ROM, since there are obviously a good deal of us still dealing with this device. (Won't it be cool when we're all upgraded? Except for data plan horse crap.) We're very lucky to have these guys working on our behalf.

Here's what I'm focused on. I want a stable, modern ROM. If JB and CM10 becomes a more viable or faster option when it comes to stability and usability, that's cool. Either way, if I have to wait until freaking January 2014, I will. Because I own a freaking VS660. To me, it's the mobile phone equivalent of owning an NES instead of a Sega Genesis. Any upgrade ROCKS. It's exceptionally cool for anyone to be helping us out by getting us ICS. We owe them and everyone else involved. I'm pretty sure they don't wake up and say, "Hey, I'm going to make the lives of VS660 users better." That should have been the job of Verizon and LG.

So if we have to stick with ICS and have it work, we should. It's better than stock freaking Froyo or Gingerbread anyway, whether we're with AOKP or CM9. Remember when Bing was mandatory? Or when we ran out of space after installing Facebook and Gmail?

We should bow down with thanks.

woot woot! i couldn't even get ics on my (used to have) samsung conquer!

Maybe i just didn't wait long enough.

so did i read thid correct or are you trying to make an "auto updater"?
i googled rdiff and delta sv nightlies and i think that;s what i came up with.

i have an extra mobo for this phone, so if anyone needs it, just send me a PM. (BTW the MEID is on the NO PAYMENT list with verizon, i got it on ebay thataway, but i think you can use an lg esn/meid changer to Repair it to YOUR esn/meid) NOTHING ILLEGAL ABOUT THAT!

ta-ta for now.

Just fixed a bug in the build script that caused the changelogs to only appear on vmroms.com. Find previous logs there, and starting tomorrow they should appear on all sites.

And BTW, if you don't monitor the OV thread, the BT reboot has been fixed with today's build.

I wrote an app called RomKeeper that will notify you of updates and has the capability to download rdiff deltas. It's not quite setup yet, mostly due to server side configurations, but should be soon.

Hm... what would be the better choice to use atm?
CM9 or AOKP?
I'm on CM9 but I've never really tried out AOKP.
Which would you recommend?

I am a cm9 fan. I tried the AOKP for almost a week. It seemed to drain the battery too quickly for me. It did have some interesting features however. Just nandroid backup and try it out.
