Did you do the procedure three times? I always used LeslieAnn preparation for an update or new ROM and never had an issue like that. I am also using the new cannibal recovery which should help.

Cannibal wouldn't flash it at all, all kinds of problems with asserst and other stuff. Went back to CWM-Green, flashed just fine.
Did all wipes once manually, then used LeslieAnn's. Also had made a backup (always back up before flashing!) and was not able to restore the backup. Plus my allergies are kicking up - not one of my better days.

I flashed over 15D ok with Cannibal 1.2 recovery. On a clean install, it flashed ok also with cannibal 1.2 recovery.

I'm still running on alpha11D and have a few questions. I recently flashed my OpV to the ZV9 update and am running bobzhomes recovery. Will your latest update work with the zv9 update and bob's recovery?

If so, awesome! I'll be updating to your latest release. If not (pout), I'll need to edit the ZV9 HowTo guide and remove the link to your rom (at the moment I have it listed as compatible with ZV9).

Thank you for all of the hard work you've put into CAI. It's my favorite ICS rom!

See post 2 for new audio drivers with speaker phone fix from lgics team. It should work for other builds too.

I just got home outta the woods, flashed it on 15f, stuck on boot animation for over 15 minutes. Gave up. bad juju

Yeah I completely abandoned the concept of dirty flashing for this ROM....it just brings you a world of trouble.

This is odd. I've dirty flashed from alpha 15b through alpha 16 and had ZERO issues. Mms Bluetooth speaker phone all work awesome. I'm puzzled

Tried flashing Alpha16 on a Vm670; Got stuck on Cid boot animation, Did a logcat, its stuck on trying to int the audio chipset. Tried using the 15f Audio with the system still stuck with audio glitches, it tries to set the master volume but fails. Anyone have any ideas?

Back to 15f, three tries on 16. Wiped data, cache, system, dalivk. Clean install of 16, gapps, audio fix, reboot. Stuck in boot animation long long time, no love.

Did same steps again, same result. Third time, only flashed 16 and gapps, same result.
Is it beer thirty yet?

Same issue here. Logcat confirms its audio causing the hang-up

The only thing I did differently was formatting /boot in addition to /system, /data, and /cache.

Then flashed a16, gapps, and audiofix.


Try wiping boot?

EDIT: Well, actually, I installed a16 last night, before the audiofix was available. So I wiped /boot /system /data and /cache, flashed the ROM and Gapps, then booted into the os, restored my apps, changed some settings, then flashed the audiofix today. everything is working for me.

I uploaded alpha 16b with the audio patch. At least wipe boot, system, and cache. Dalvik too if you moved it to sd-ext. This should keep your data. Otherwise do a full wipe.

I messed with the asserts again, let me know of any problems and with what recovery.

I tried to Flash it in cannible touch 1.0 And it says ERROR in /sdcard/alpha16b-cm9-20120626-kraven-LS670.zip (status 6) i tried from multiple server operating systems With Both Clean installs EXT4 and windows partition to Insure if its data corruptions or permissions and i have determined its a bad Zip file or some sort of other unknown issue please contact me back or post a new zip realsecurenetworkinc@gmail.com thankyou for all the support i been running this as my primary OS on my LG optimus because of my faith in god and in you to have the knowledge to have it be stable heheh thankyou guys very much for all the work love you all and i will try to donate aswell for these projects they have been a major help for me.

Same here failed twice, first downloaded via computer, transferred USB in recovery, second time with Goo IM app, MD5 verified on both. I get error in zip file, failed [Status 6]. I tired toggling asserts and signature. Using Cannibal 1.2. (sigh)

Drew has the option to enable or disable asserts in COT. I thought that would do it. I'll try the delete and flash with signature off.

I noticed that 16 is non-linaro. Are you having issues with it? Or do you not think it helps? Personally, I don't see the difference between using the linaro tool chain and using the standard tool chain.
