so it looks like its my partitioning? because when i grab my brothers sd card and flash it to my phone, it works, but when i use mine after that, it just hangs at the boot screen :/

The boot hanging was also problem in alpha 16 with it not working on some phones. It's something with the new audio drivers. Alpha 15F worked for those phones.

Bloody hell, that's extraordinary. Never expected the new version to be out so fast. Downloading NOW...and tempted to try her out. Gonna have to back up everything and eliminate a ton of crap from my memory card to make room for a new nand...yes.

Does anybody know what the name of the default video player is in settings? I want to clear its defaults since it cant play some videos. I dont want to wipe data unless I have to.

so i undid my partition i made with minitool partition wizard and tried to reflash and it worked fine this time, so i guess the issue was that partition, but i think i need to make a partition since this rom is quite large, so can anyone tell me how to do so? as maybe what i did in the wizard was wrong

thanks Bud, I figured that out. Even tho I set the default to another player from the explorer it still defaults to the gallery player. Who knows where it be written?

You could just remove the Gallery3D.apk from /system/app ... I'd suggest QuickPic for the image management portion.

Can you make a flash-able zip of you test 19 kernel? Would love to use it on another CM9 ROM.

I don't think so, actually I just partitioned my sdcard and on cannibal the lowest amount I can get it is 128mb

17b hangs for me as well at boot. 16 did not. The only thing that changed was the partition I put on my SD card for quatrimus.

i dunno, i just tried making an ext in cot and it still wouldnt boot

so for me, i can use the rom when my sd is whole, but the second i make a partition in anyway, from recovery like how in the link strabo231 had or from an outside source like my computer, it just stays forever at the boot screen

why is this happening?

it should work with out the ext

it did for me, i just understand why it hangs with one :/
