H/W Acceleration is a GO! Currently testing a new build of GingerKernel with this ICS build. Angry Birds Rio runs like a champ, as does the Launcher UI. Expect a build release soon

In settings --> launcher --> clicking icons and dock do nothing. I hear a click, and see the touch response, but it doesn't open any menu.

Drew, does this next build include other fixes besides HW acceleration?

EDIT: Also, can this kernel be flashed for the Cold as Ice ZVD rom or just for the Hydro ZVH CM9?

installed and so far am very impressed. data and wifi work. moving from screen to screen very fluid. youtube FC's but dont normally use it anyways. keyboard is small. i really like the htc_imod keyboard from hydro rom.

holy crapola my S is on crack after the kernal upgrade. will it have the same side effect as a regular drug user and crash hard afterwards...lol...awesome work you guys...i wish i had the patience to do a rom...

No, it does not.

This kernel will work in both ICS ROMs, and will work in all stock-based Gingerbread ROMs too (not including CM7 yet).

Building mainly for references, but I'm in a teaching mood, so ask if you want to learn.

And I'm in a learning mood. Do you have a gtalk ID I can have? I want to know what are the requirements for building a ROM. If it sounds too much to start with, I'll start with theming. I'm free for next 5 months

Honestly, data just refuses to work properly for me. Even after doing *#*#4636#*#* > Phone info > CDMA auto prl, radio on/off.

After turning off/on radio, the 3g symbol does show up next to the signal bars. however, internet pages still won't load. Wifi works though.

Try toggling airplane mode ON and OFF and then Data OFF and ON.

First toggle airplane mode on and off then data off and on also worked to get data rolling for me as well

Here is alpha2.

• Lots of room made in this build
• ~80 MB and you can delete Trebuchet.apk and save about 7 MB more if you like the Apex launcher included.
• Youtube kinda works now, getting closer.
• You will still need to flash Drew's new ICS kernel. This still has the 8.1 GK one.
• Latest CM9 sync.
• Sync with Beta 4 of P500 changes.
• Using the IHO sprint apns-conf.xml. So test mms.
• LatinIME.apk is large ~10 MB, so look on the market for a mdpi on if you need room.

No kidding, and that is good. I can live without camera and YouTube, so I will try to live with this for the next three days. I'll spend half that time flashing new versions, thanks to thekraven.
