This ROM is the real deal. Almost everything I've installed or restored works beautifully.

Having real trouble setting my wallpaper. It just won't work through Gallery, and if I set it with ES Images, it won't scroll. No idea what's up with that.

Just flash the one without google apps..

I have the old zip of g'apps (the large one) if anybody needs/wants it.

kraven makes a big point of using the gapps he linked at the same time as the a5 link. I suspect there is a reason.

3G data just will not work reliably enough to stream music. Better cache whatever you can for now.

Edit: Apparently a reboot or two clears this up.

NOTE: Apparently sound must be enabled (not silent or vibrate) for music apps to play. They just sit and wait to FC otherwise.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Not a huge issue, but I don't think the scrolling functionality was ever working in any of the previous alpha builds. By no means a deal-breaker. Sometimes it'll actually work through gallery, but it'll take several attempts.

With the iscream kernel the home button is the menu, and menu is the home.

Also with alph4, not sure if it will with A5 will let you know.

When my phone is a sleep or locked it does keep the time. I wake the phone up to see what time it is, example, it says it is 3:30 when it is really 4:10. about 10 secs after i unlock it it updates. i think it might be affecting the alarm to with inaccurate time.

For now, don't flash he iscream kernel, stick with the one in the rom.

It shouldn't affect your alarm. Next time your clock is delayed, go open your clock app. Quite frequently, the clock app shows the right time while the clock at the top is still lagging. I never had any problem with alarms going off on time (since the app works fine) but my clock was always behind.

Apps : Power AMP will freeze up and stop responding (don't know if this is just a compatibility issue), All of the other apps i installed work fine

SD Card : It sometimes tells me that the SD was unexpectedly removed but then it randomly starts working again

3G : Completely doesn't work (It loads the home page *google.com* but then everything after that doesn't load Checked settings-about phone-status and it says mobile network disconnected)

For your 3G, read some of the posts about it. Usually toggling Airplane mode off and on, and then toggling data off and on, will fix it. You should see the up and down arrows next to 3G...and it should work fine (3G may flicker on and off)...

Well data stopped me. It worked on install, but stopped after a few reboots. I have tried every trick in the entire thread and it will not connect. Wifi is solid blue bars and all.

Yeah the 3g cutting out stopped me as well. Goolge music force close every time, and I need that to keep me sane at work.BUT awesome to see the camera progress!

Agreed with the alpha status until the data is sorted out - that's really the main thing right now preventing it from being a beta. Although, data works alright for me in alpha5 - I'm able to stream pandora and watch youtube clips over 3g just fine. However, I do have to toggle mobile data upon reboot and taking it off wifi. No biggie, I just put the mobile data toggle switch in the notification drawer for easier access. Apart from the noted bugs, everything else seems to be working fine. I've noticed decent battery life with the default governor that's selected as well (interactiveX). I tried smartassV2 but it seemed pretty terrible for some reason. Maybe I'll get ambitious and try some others to see how they do..

BTW, I tried to put swype on, to which I got an error telling me they no longer support my screen size :/ Anyone have a copy of the last version that does?

Waiting patiently here for a stable release. This is so exciting! I've been using Kraven's CM7 and it's amazing. It would be awesome to have ICS on our device! Thanks for the great work!

Since I don't have 3G either way, it doesn't affect me. I only use this ROM. Gotta say that this runs faster than Froyo. Just can't seem to overclock the phone. Always restarts on me.

Well it is an alpha, test it, report the issues you are having and wait for the bugs to get worked out. That's what this is all about.

Try turning your sound settings to "sound + vibrate", then rebooting. My Google Music FC'd a lot before, too. That seemed to fix it.

Best bet is usually to restore a backup of the Swype Installer, then download Swype fresh. I had that issue with the "unsupported screen size" once, but another install attempt fixed it.
