[ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9+Paranoid Android LS670 11/20 ZVD basesband Alpha19

Re: [WIP][ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 for Sprint LS670 ZVD basesband Alp

Is anyone else's multitasking grid (holding the home button) really fuzzy

Tapatalk BIATCH!!!

Yup.

I've been flashing a lot of times, and I'm not sure which alpha I'm on. Way to check? (Build number is IML74K, date is Fri Feb 17 21:01:38 CST 2012)

The camera will need more work.

Anyone try the gallery from alpha 1?

I'm with you on this one, kraven. The gallery is not working in alpha2. It just goes blank...

Anyway I can get that error bypassed so I can take photos?

I'm on alpha 2 and the home key is not working. Is there something I need to do to enable it?

Same thing happened to me. I had to reflash everything from the top to get mine working, format data, boot, system, etc.

Thanks I'll give it a try, anyone had luck with data2ext?

Re: [WIP][ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 for Sprint LS670 ZVD basesband Alp

Anyone know if there is a way to permanently turn off the cell radio? Or would I need to disable after every boot via the *#*#4636#*#* menu? It's a tablet now, no service, and would like to save the battery life. Any advice?

Just enable airplane mode, and turn on wifi/bluetooth/whatever as needed. I don't think it sticks across reboots, but it may.

Well, there's a bug. When toggle airplane mode via power button, no change. Radio and wifi still active in status bar. No airplane icon. If you go to the power button menu again, it shows as toggled to airplane mode on. If you then lock the screen and unlock, airplane mode is off again.

The widget, Dazzle, from the Market has a radio off toggle. I use it when I work in the backcountry with no cell service and can save battery (radio. data. wifi off) but use GPS in the bottom of a canyon. I carry the phone for schedule reminders and can hike to a ridgetop for service, most times.

Re: [WIP][ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 for Sprint LS670 ZVD basesband Alp

Well, nevermind. A reboot with airplane mode on has generated the proper icon in the status bar. Restarted wifi and good to go. Was doing this on CM7, glad to see it works here too. Thanks!

New buglet -

Not an issue, but alpha2 with iScream Kernel, shutdown with AC charger attached reboots and does power off.
Power down without AC works. Must be a stub for offline charging?

edit

Power off and plug in AC boots phone. I changed to a higher cap batt for the day.

I would also like to say two things I love about this rom.

Boot times. They are fast as all get out.

USB Mass Storage. Also super fast as compared to CM7. R/W speeds much faster then before, as well as mounts as disconnects.

So keep it up guys!

It's been my experience that if the airplane mode works from the power button then data is a go. Both on and off. Wi-Fi or 3g

Re: [WIP][ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 for Sprint LS670 ZVD basesband on

Anybody else having trouble with adb connecting when on ICS CM9 with Android Debugging USB enabled and UMS OFF?

I need to send adb commands to my phone. I might be able to aquire a connection when booted through recovery. Anybody else having trouble?

These were data tips from Alpha 1. Try dialing *#*#4636#*#* and choosing auto CDMA or CDMA only and toggle the radio off and on.

For data problems, see if apns are loading or sticking. Using voice dialer say "open A P N s" (open a ):p and a menu should pop up.
See if two sprint apns are showing up. If you see two CDMA listings, that's the Cyanogenmod apn-conf.xml settings for sprint thats wrong. You can delete those and make new ones.

Click menu and choose new.
Name: Sprint
APN: 0
MCC: 310
MNC: 120
APN type: *

Make another one
Name: Sprint
APN: 1
MMSC: http://mms.sprintpcs.com
MCC: 310
MNC: 120
APN type: mms

Otherwise, it may require a full data wipe and starting over.

The double flashing does work for some, Like flashing rom, flash gapps, flash rom, flash gaps
I tried all of the above on alpha 2. The data still came on, synced, and then went off and repeated. I also tried the double flash , and had the same results.

Does the wifi tethering app still work for ICS? If so, I think I may make the plunge and switch back to ZVH to try this out. Thanks!

Also, what is the difference in the different size gapps files??

Same here. Was trying to switch to Xionia from CWMT last night, but ADB refused to detect the device. I had to do everything from terminal emulator :'( lol
