Same here. Was trying to switch to Xionia from CWMT last night, but ADB refused to detect the device. I had to do everything from terminal emulator :'( lol

That's exactly what I was wanting to do!

I realize that I have been posting tons of posts recently, but I found some bugs in ICS that we can all relate to for the most part - -

I have found bugs, you guys... in CyanogenMod 9 for the LG Optimus S...

First, some users are expirencing a battery bug that is not showing that the device is charging unless it is plugged into a computer or USB capable device.

Secondly, the camera is not working at all... for that matter, neither is Gallery; it is just blank.

Some CM settings are not available for use... CM Settings > Interface > Status Bar tweeks for signal and battery icon changer are not working...

Data is flashing in and out... please refer to page 14 on my post as I provide a way to fix this.

Wifi bars are remaining black and some users can connect to wifi, but no data from wifi is going in or out (yes, I checked my router )

When dirty flashed, some users are experencing FC's... I recommend you fully wipe then flash... also refer to my post in pg 14 please.

ADB connections both over usb and network are not working (wifi is out for some) and you can not get a connection from ADB to the phone with ICS at all.

Some apps' progress bars (such as in the regular Music app) are displaying the GB bars (that can be fixed easily)

Some CM apps are not there... Spare Parts; Theme Chooser are missing... IMPORTANT INFORMATION: For those who backup'ed everything if you were in CyanogenMod 7's port by thekraven or any other ROM on ZVD, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT restore all apps from Titanium Backup. Just restore user apps.. Most of you know this by now, but if you restore ALL of the apps from TB, it will mess up the ROM. Trust me. Been there. Done that. You DO NOT want to do this.

Voicemail app is gone but if you have it backed up in Titanium Backup, I tested it. It's safe to reinstall. Try not to reinstall Voicemail's data though. Just reinstall from TB without data.

Some settings just have "placeholders" in them and are blank.

RECENT FIXES FROM CM7

For the most part, the Market error that some users were having "Insufficant storage space" and "Package File Invalid" has been fixed (again, for the most part... Dead Gum Angry Birds won't update, but everything else will)

also, in recent apps list, thumbnails are fuzzy. also, I don't know if this is an unrelated issue, but after going online and trying to install an app remotely to my device from the market website on my computer, it says "You don't have any devices" and "There are no Android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account." Can anyone else replicate this issue, or is it just me?

I just installed an xbox live app via my laptop. I just had to choose my device. But it worked

My phone is being rather uncooperative. I'm clearing data and seeing if that helps.

EDIT: After force stop, reboot, it didn't work. Than force stop, clear data, than reboot, and still I've got this.

I turned off my 3G (and wifi isn't working so I turned it off as well) to save some battery while I'm home...no internet connection whatsoever, and it just notified me of a twitter message lol! CM9 is magic...

All of these have been mentioned. once again. this is an alpha release. if you want functionality use a mostly comeplete rom.(as in a beta or higher)

Camera is a problem and is currently being worked on.
Features not available is it being part of an alpha.
Im sure Kraven is working on data so dont worry.
ADB works fine for me so idk whats wrong with yours(pebpac?)
placeholders are there as markers or to keep the rom from crashing cuz there isnt anything there.

Odd. My gallery was acting the same. But once I stopped it completely and rebooted it's fine.

For gallery, it could be how the sdcard gets mounted in the init.thunderc.rc in the boot.img. Might need a symlink from /mnt/sdcard to /sdcard.

Quickpic works ok.

There's a 3g tweak script that I might remove in the init.d folder. Just till we get data sorted.

Camera not working is a known issue, and it does seem that the Gallery is broken in alpha 2.

Not sure, but it *could* be a general CM9 issue that needs to be worked out by the CM team.

Try enabling USB debugging. It seems that it's disabled by default.

Spare Parts is mostly replaced by Developer Settings in the Settings menu. Theme Chooser will never be back in CM9 because they are re-doing the theme engine.

Visual Voicemail isn't a part of CM9 so it shouldn't be at all surprising that it's not included.

That's because those settings haven't been done yet. Remember that CM9 in and of itself is unfinished.

PEOPLE! LISTEN! I FIXED DATA ON ALPHA2.

To fix the 3G data on Alpha2, shut down the phone first.

Reboot into CWM or Xionia recovery... Then nandroid backup as usual... then, CLEAR DATA, CACHE, DELVIK CACHE, BOOT, SYSTEM, and if you have it, SD-EXT. Then, wipe cache AGAIN.

Once you have wiped, flash these things IN ORDER... ROM, Kernal, G'apps. YES. IN THAT ORDER.

Once you have done that, FLASH THE ROM AGAIN. YES, AGAIN.

After that, wipe cache and delvik cache once more.

Reboot... then reboot again. Go through the sign in first time boot thing. Skip syncing at first... Then go to settings > more (under wifi and bluetooth) and toggle airplane mode TWICE. Then, go to mobile data and toggle twice.

To be sure that the data is sticking even though the data icon is not showing, type *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer... go to phone > ping test. You will want to see "pass" on all three things. If you see "Fail" or "Unknown" on the second thing in the list while your icon is not showing up, try repeating these steps since the "booting and sign in" part or try reflashing the ROM. Make sure your APN's are okay by going to voice dialer and saying "open A-P-N's" or "open A"... if you see one or three APN's or they are not right, go look at thekraven's tip for 3G connecting.

If you reboot the phone and the data starts acting crazy, repeat the steps since the booting up part..

If you have apps that need to be reinstalled that have been backed up using Titanium, fine. Reinstall, but do not restore sys data as it screwed me up.

I think its great thekraven & drew are working together I love both there cm7 roms and think its great they are working together to do cm9. I Will have to wait till the cm9 is a little more ready for every day use before I switch to it.
