I dont know if anyone cares, but one thing i noticed that some people are defining a Mega/Giga Bytes incorrectly.

1MB should be 2^20 bytes, 1GB should be 2^30 bytes. i could have my history wrong, but hard drive manufactures redefined (aholes!) 1MB to be 10^6 bytes and 1GB to be 10^9 to inflate their size to the consumer. if you search around i think less people support these units.

if you take the 31.9GB * 10^9 / 2^30 = 29.71GB

25.9MB * 10^6 / 2^20 = 24.7MB

I would assign this to a bug in TB as they appear to be the ones defining a meg to be 1,000,000 which is not the computer science/hardware way of looking at bytes.

So where is the missing/unaccounted space in the ROM?? Forget about my SD card.

I explained the difference between the reporting in TB and settings-storage. So looking at just TB numbers...
System ROM 166MB (40.5MB free)
Internal 172MB (25.9MB free)
SD Card 31.9GB (2.43GB free)

I'm running Reborn and my TB looks very similar (not using data2ext atm)
System ROM 166MB (37.0MB free)
Internal 172MB (21.4MB free)
SD Card 6.98GB (3.60GB free)

I tried to find a post where you described why you thought the numbers were wrong, but after a few minutes just thought i'd ask if you still cared.

I'm sorry if the answer to this was spelled out or if this is a stupid question. The totals are all the same and match the hardware(minus our sd card size), so why do you expect to have more free space than you have?

You replied to my reply of another question. That is from the Settings, Storage. I replied with my readings from Settings, Storage and TiBu. You took off on the TiBu bug / MB / GB wrong, wrong, wrong tangent. :D

Is there not a patch to fix the home button for a7? the patch from a6 apparently doesn't fix the issue.

I used it and it fixed my home button issue? Try flashing it again and see if it works!

well im running A8 but my home button does not work, going to try the patch from A6 to see if it will work ok the search key dosent work either



Edit: applying the home key fix from A6 did the trick :-)

Weird. Mine works fine. I saw that some had that issue in A7.

not sure why it didnt work for me but the fix from A6 worked I havent tried to use 3g yet but wifi works great. I'll up date about 3g later ok 3G works great just had to do the airplane mode and data toggle:cool:

home key didn't work originally after a few reboots sorted itself out. 3g works great just painfully slow for me wifi connects fast and super fast.

down 20 percent in about half-hour.

thanks for the amazing work kraven!!!!
