I don't mind not having the battery stats, but for me, in addition to not having the camera, there are occasional lockups and reboots, and the other thing that worries me is the clock drift. I use my phone as my alarm clock for school every morning and I'm paranoid that it might not go off at the right time as a result of time shifts Yes, I'm using ClockSync, but I'm still worried...

I've been using this as my daily ROM since at least alpha 7, and I have never had my alarm go off at the wrong time or not go off. I use it as my alarm every day, and it always goes off at the right time. I don't use ClockSync.

I'm not sure what some of you are seeing that you call "clock drift", but the only thing I've seen on mine is that the /displayed time/ on the lock screen and status bar don't always update immediately when waking the phone. The system time appears to always be correct for me.

If I hit the power button three times (wake, sleep, wake), the time on the lock screen is correct. Also, the status bar will update to the current time either a) when another minute goes by, or b) when I rotate the screen to landscape.

not sure if its just my phone but 3g isn't as fast on a9 as other alphas reinstalled others to test. I get between 300k to 500k on a9 and around 750k on other alphas and 1300k ish on cm7. anyone else notice this?

I'm not adding supercharger scripts till data is more stable. But you can try adding this to your build.prop and test. They are from a CM7 build.prop

Be patient, he is working on it. He has already done more than anyone else. Give him time to work things out.

Kraven, I edited my build.prop for both changes listed above. Commenting out the ro.ril.telephony item requires the toggle dance to resume. It drops data consistently. However it impacts speed. That combined with the supercharger script boosted my 3g connection from 300kbps to 1200

Interesting. The speed boost would be nice, but I'll admit, I'm growing damned used to not having to do the Toggle Dance and having a consistent data connection. Seems very much like a "one step forward, two steps back" situation.

There seems to be a happy medium. If you leave the telephony item in but add the script I get 900 to 1000 kbps with no toggle dance

Does anyone have the Debug.zip. My phone freezing and taking like 5 battery pulls and 10 minutes in order for it to boot back up is getting on my nerves lol

I might make a flashable patch with zvj files for some one to test. But I think Zvh/zvj will have the same troubles with data as before.

EDIT: I'm using an older version (seems this is not showing on the market for Sprint), the new version doesn't work at all. This (wireless_tether_2_0_7.apk - android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users 2.0.7 - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting) seems to be the version I'm using.

Like I said, though, security doesn't work, so if you are using it in public, anyone can latch on and use your connection

Thx for the link. Been trying to get a Wi-Fi tether to work for months. Works like a dream with nice speeds. No encryption but once connected you can add to approved client and enable protection. You can also add "_ nomap" appended to the SSID to hide it from broadcasting. This is for the 2.0.7. The new version FCs.

How would one go about turning on the native tether. I know it's turned off by default. I just don't know where to look to change it.
