[ROM] CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1

Doesn't matter at this moment, as nighty 41 is the RC plus one change to another device. If you'd rather stay stable, stick with the RC's.

Anyone find a fix to modem losing service...it does this to me and turning airplane mode on n off works...but there is no fix??

Re: [ROM] Cyanogenmod 7 Nightlies!

A little birdie told me CM 7.1 RC1 should be coming tonight, Galaxy S phones included ;).

And by birdie, I mean Gerrit entry :p.

OK I tried to install on Galaxy S Captivate - Att. I thought everything went smoothly. When I went to check the version and was hoping to see 2.3.4 I still see 2.2.... everything is the same as before the install... what did I do and how to fix it? I tried the method listed on the OP... PLEASE HELP!

I'm thinking about flashing back to CM7. However, I just got Netflix today (one that really works), and will it still work with Gingerbread? Also, is there a place to download RC1? I can only see back to nightly 43 on the site.

CM7 on the Cappy is the software equivalent of a Nexus S, so it should run fine. I think you can get RC1 through ROMManager.

Sent from my Captivate

one more question... I run the Samsung MMS add-on on Serendipity 6.4. I have used CM7 before, as well as the unskinned Serendipity MMS app, and I really like the speech bubble type of MMS app, like stock on the Cappy or what's on the iPhone instead of the AOSP app. Is there a way to get this feel with CM7?

Since I can't seem to find a changelog with actual details on what was changed, can anyone one convince me to update my Captivate to a newer nightly? The nightly I am on is 06122011 and it is really stable for me considering the last time I tried to update to a newer build it didn't work as well.

I can't remember if anything major has happened in the last month, other than the RC release. I haven't heard any problems about the last few nightlies though.

So flashed Cyanogen about a week ago. I like it until i tried to install platypus. I have been trying to get music through my car dock. I downloaded the app Dock Sound Redirector and i flashed platypus. A few different ones now and they all make my phone reboot or just not turn on. I re-installed and its working great. I was wondering if there is a specific download of platypus i should be using? altho i have tried them all. Or possibly a setting

Hey guys i installed this rom today with the rom manager pro everything seems to work, but i dont have a market place. Is it hidden somewhere in the new rom?

Go back into ROM manager and install Google Apps (GAPPS) from the optional.
I did i even wiped the phone again and started over this time 100% certain i check to install the google apps option, and still no market. What am i doing wrong followed instruction to a T. Like i said before everything else is working.

It does not seem to be applying the gapps. Are any other Google apps there? Maps, Nav, etc? If they are all still gone, I would go to the Cyanogen site with your computer, download the gapps manually, stick on your phone and apply it with CWM.

ROM Manager rarely works for me, without some problem. I prefer the manual method for the reliability.
