[ROM][EPIC 4G][CM9] CM9: CyanogenMod v 9.1.0 -Stable

Re: [ROM][EPIC 4G][CM9] CM9: CyanogenMod v 9.0.0-BETA-2

It seems if I send a text that goes over the 160 character limit (thus sends 2 texts) it comes over as random symbols to the recipient. I haven't seen my friends phones who have told me this to be able to better describe the "symbols" but anyone else having a similar issue?

@smashclash

Open your mms app, menu/settings + set your 160 split there (messages should split, no symbols, from send)..........now, if your friends have not set their devices to 160 split, then ???!? ;)

Re: [ROM][EPIC 4G][CM9] CM9: CyanogenMod v 9.0.0-BETA-2

just throwing this out there, i"ve been running the new CM9 RC0 epicmtd KANG rom along side with the updated shadowkernel CM9_v0.6.3.1 for the last 24hrs and its crazy fast. almost zero lag when CPU set at 1400mhz, 3x better wifi speeds and what seems like better 3g speeds also. battery life is about the same as stock kernel. only thing hitch so far is tried running Vellamo to get a benchmark baseline but the phone reboots mid test, not sure why..... but other than that everything else is very smooth

Re: [ROM][EPIC 4G][CM9] CM9: CyanogenMod v 9.0.0-BETA-2

Is anybody else getting crappy battery life? I drop %30 in a hour.surfing the web on wi fi ..Ijust checked again..from fully charged to1 hour 31 min I'm at 53% battery power. Any suggestions? I don't wanna go back to gb..ics is nic3e!

CM9_Beta4-pre3 is here:

http://epiccm.blogspot.com/

Found it browsing thru CM blog earlier today; it provides a tiny bit longer light on capacitive buttons; it provides Lockscreen Weather function; access to Apollo music player direct from app drawer; + it provides a scrolling function from ClockworkMod recovery so that you can navigate without having to click every step of the way ;) If you have experienced the recent ShadowKernel_CM9v0.6.3.1, you're perhaps already familiar w/ this function as it's a lot like that.

These are some of the more immediate changes that come w/ beta4-pre3..................also: a new kernel from wtogami, smooth!

Im sorry sonarchist, I thought you were talking about beta3, lol. I need to read better and pay more attention, lol!

........no problema! There's always a benefit to a re-flash, feels zippier 2 me anyways!.................enjoying Apollo music player; only thing, wishing it came in black --otherwise, always glad to see new advances on CM9!

beta4 can be installed the same as beta3 (from beta2) correct? that is, download beta4, put on sd card, boot in clockwork, install update from sd card, reboot phone. done. correct?

Essentially correct, except 'install zip from sd card' then 'choose zip from sd card'............NOT 'install update from sd card'........also, depending on length of time from last GApps update, you will want to flash the most recent 'gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip' immediately after CM9beta4-pre3, THEN boot to system.

Epic4G CM9 Kernel 3.0.x update:

For those of you that have been following Epic CM Team member Bbelos' progress w/ the long awaited 3.0.x Kernel, a kexec temporary test version posted on the Epic CM Blog earlier (06/02), followed by several important updates/fixes during this past weekend (thru 06/03).................have been exploring the 3.0.x kernel myself + am enjoying a quicker UI response to my device overall; however, users ('testers') should keep in mind that several features are not yet implemented as this is a TEST ONLY, so mileage will certainly VARY per individual device.................... any + all issues that we encounter may be reported to the Epic CM Blog directly.................................anyone wishing to contribute to development of this awesome kernel via testing + user input, please navigate to Epic CM blogspot (+ download links) HERE:

Temporary Kexec test kernel instructions:
Cyanogenmod Epic 4G: Epic 4G Kernel 3.0.x Progress

Note: WIMAX will only work for those running CM9beta4-pre3/5............install instructions + update notes are included in above link.......+ it's worth reiterating: CM9 3.0.x Kernel is a temporary TEST kexec release only, NOT intended for everyday use............once this build is STABILIZED we will have an official release by Bbelos + Epic CM Team.

Here's a Screenshot:

Re: [ROM][EPIC 4G][CM9] CM9: CyanogenMod v 9.0.0-BETA-2

Can anyone tell me if CM9 has the ability to adjust the vibration intensity like the stock roms for the Epic do? The Epic has a pretty powerful vibration, so I usually turn it down to where it provides a feelable buzz and haptic feedback, but where its not annoying. This is the only reason I didnt stay with CM before..

isn't this beta4?

Test builds for the upcoming official beta 4. They release "pre" builds so users can test and find potential bugs and submit logs/info concerning them and help them track them down so they can be found/addressed/fixed.
