[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Probably be back on CM7 nightlies this weekend too ,ha :)

they upgraded me to 'Guru', whatever that means... I think they should rate us on the amount of 'thank yous' that we get, instead of the amount of posts we do... just a thought

Guess thats why I got 3 dots and you got 2 dots , hahaha :p

So after a full day back on nightlies I think I'll be going back to skyraider 4.0 The battery life/pull down recent apps/dialer have kind of put it over the edge for me. I still love CM7 and its customization and I'm sure I'll be back on it eventually but for now I'm back down with sense.

I have to admit, the recent app bar is pretty cool in SR4.

Indeed it is. I'm not moving to SR4 since I'm not a fan of sense, but I 'd love to see a similar feature in future versions of Cyanogenmod.

I think its a very cool feature. I know you can do the same thing by holding down the "home" button but swiping down for the notification bar is just more intuitive to me and my thumb.

I think if this feature made its way over CM7 I'd probably be back for good...for at least like 2 weeks this time. :D

Nevermind .... I figured it out now :)

What are you using to give the battery usage graph? Pretty cool and I would like to get it if it is an installed or purchased app.

Thanks!

Frank

It's built into CM7 - select menu-> Settings -> About -> battery, then click on the battery graph on the top.

Thanks!

Handy. I assume that in the phone signal status green is good signal, and I think there is yellow also, which is a bit hard to see.

Frank

Yes - the colors represent signal strength. It's a little easier to make out on the phone itself then in the pic.

So CM7 7.0.3 has been released. I read that it's still Android 2.3.3, but it supposedly contains an "important" security fix and all users are encouraged to update. I wish they would tell us what this "important" security fix is.

EDIT-I upgraded to 0.2.3 and everything is fine except the process android.media keeps force closing on me. I hope the latest nightly contains the security fox, because I might have to switch to that.

UPDATE-Force closes persist and notification sounds and ringtone are nonfunctional. I hope nightly 66 has the security fix because I had no choice but to switch to that.

UPDATE #2-Cyanogn said on his Twitter page that 0.2.3 was only for people running 0.2. stabe builds. I wish I would have known that beforehand... *feels like an idiot*

Per Cyanogen on Twitter:

The 7.0.3 update is *ONLY* for people using 7.0.2* stable builds. You'll hose your system if you install it on a nightly from the last week.

Also...

Also, if you are running a CM 7.1 nightly, don't try and downgrade to 7.0.3! The nightly builds already have the security patch!

And...

@ @bluenazgul @ChrisSoyars ya the current nightly builds are cm7.1 / android 2.3.4.

Sorry dude - looks like you're have to to a full wipe and Flash.

So far I'm diggin' the new kernel

Seidio 3500 - heavy voice usage today.

I, too, am really digging it. It has been a somewhat light use day, with the Seidio 3500, with airplane mode on overnight.
