[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Are there any wild guesses on an alpha CM9 for us? I know better than to ask for an ETA, so I will gladly entertain "wild guesses!" ;)

A week or two ago, I saw CUViper (that's the INC's CM maintainer for those who are unaware) post on RootzWiki that he hasn't had much time to focus on CM9. You know, real life and stuff. So it could be a while. I can hardly wait until March when i get my upgrade, INC development is nearly dead unfortunately. I'll always hold onto this phone though, it is an absolute monster. One of the best communities I've ever seen online as well. I hope a few of you end up on the Nexus like I will.

Nightly 253 better than Cyanogen 7 stable ?

Hello,

Can you confirm that I should install the nightly 253 rather than Cyanogen 7 stable on Nexus one ?

Thanks.

Dont know. You may want to check the Nexus forum for a better answer as this is the HTC Incredible forum.

NOOOOO!

Not sure if that was in response to CUViper not having much time to work on ICS, which he said a couple of weeks ago so who knows that looks like now, or to me leaving for the Nexus in March haha!

I'll probably still hang around the INC forums for a while, still an awesome phone. Might even use it as a dedicated music player after I retire it.

Agreed. The Inc was and still is a mighty bad a$$ed device.

I'm going Rezound. After playing with the ICS ROM's I think I'd either prefer Sense 3.5 over pure ICS. Just my opinion but it seems as though they changed up stuff just for the sake of changing stuff, like the way you add widgets and shortcuts to the home screens. Was that change really necessary? It didn't really add anything in my opinion. Just small stuff like. Plus I'm sure the Rezound will get ICS ROM's if they haven't already and hopefully there'll be a CM9 for it too!!

What was I thinking! I blame the stress!

Death of my Inc. I decided to put it into a cup of soda last night. The screen started to flicker. I quickly pulled battery and disassemble the whole phone. I fried something in the lcd screen. SUXXXXXXXXX. It was in the death solution for about a minute before I realized. I was listening to music in. The car had it plugged into line in. I always put my phone in cup holder. Well I'm dumb and it was night and I forgot I have a half Full glass of soda in the Cup Holder!

I'll throw this out there because I really don't want to wipe and reload, but I think that's where I'm heading...

A little while ago the Stock CM7 ADW launcher stopped recognizing Long Press on the home screens. Needless o say this makes adding and removing Icons from the home screens a little difficult.

Long press works in other areas of the ROM but not on the launcher home screens.

I've cleared Cache and Dalvik, and cleared cache on every app I could and still nothing.

Thoughts?

Dunno, just sounds like a glich with ADW.

Did you install any themes, etc. for ADW, that could've caused the problem.

Well, guys. I figured I would say it here first. I officially retired the Incredible yesterday. Picked up my GNex at work. It was a hell of a run we had. I almost didn't want to give up on the Inc, but as soon as I started flipping through the GNex I knew there was no going back. I'm going to miss that phone, and this thread, that's for sure. Hopefully I'll see you guys over on the GNex forums at some point. I'll poke my head in here every once in a while to see who is still around.

GL with the new toy. Not sure I will be going with the GNex myself....definatly have my eye on the new HTC phones showed off at MWC

Just loaded RC2. The crashes and reboots in AOKP were starting to really get annoying. I love ICS, but back to GB for now.
