You might try this to get your notification controls back:

It's being actively developed, though I haven't used the last few iterations since I've been on a CM7 rom myself. When I used it, I didn't like the implementation quite as much as CM7's, but it does let you put switches on your notification pulldown, customize the order, etc--I'd recommend trying it out.

On another note, I haven't visited recently, and am very excited to see the new GB ROMs that are out. May be a while before I move my dad off of Reborn, but I look forward to trying these out. Major kudos to the devs for their continued efforts--you guys rock!

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this or if its just my phone. Has anyone tried the Car Home app? Seems broken for me, holding an icon should allow you to delete, and holding an unused slot should allow you to add an app but it does nothing for me. Well if it does do anything it ends up just opening the app or shortcut im trying to remove.

Not a huge deal, it was one of the features I was hesitant to leave CM7 for. That and DSPManager. When I saw 1.2 had it I got pretty excited and felt like my life was finally complete again haha (yes i know theres other versions to download on the market, i just really liked this version)

Car Home app may need a dependency. Not sure? I will look at it at one point though.

Any way to add re-sizing widgets to stock launcher? I can use ADW EX, but I kinda like the stock look and feel.

I used netd also but run it "open" with access control. No crashes yet.
I only use it when I'm out working and I'm usually moving around quite a bit.

Looking forward to a "field test" tomorrow.

I ran it today a few times. The 3rd time I ran it for a couple hours. Phone rebooted on shuttung down the program. It only did me once like that though. Running it now on a VM Optimus running stock but rooted 2.2.1
As Scott mentioned, the Wireless Tether connects quicker than the native app although I have seen no difference in ping or speed.

Sorry, dont have Sprint service on this device so I cant actually test these things myself. This ROM is being built partially blind, lol

Great ROM, so far it seems to be very stable. I just flashed it earlier after running CM7 for a while, and finally got it all customized and running the way I want.

I was using the CM7 ported by thekraven before upgrading, and I really liked the camera in CM7. I noticed earlier when I loaded up the camera on gROM that it seemed to flicker a lot, like it was over adjusting the lighting, etc. and the pictures were coming out a lot darker than normal. I tried to overwrite the stock camera app with the one I extracted from the CM7 package... but the install fails.

Anyone got a work around? I've tried everything I could think of from manually overwriting the apk file in the system/app folder, to chmoding the apk, converting it to a user app in TB (which fails) and I'm out of ideas. I searched google a bit couldn't find anything as far as a work around.

Can you attach the APK that you want to use so I can first make sure its compatible? If it is then I am sure I can get something going for you.

I am new to all of this stuff. I followed all of the instructions and finally have my phone rooted and xionia clockwork installed. My question is how do I flash the rom? I know to put it on the root of the SD card and boot into recovery, but what do I do from there? Do I go to install zip from sdcard or apply sdcard : update.zip? sorry for the n00b questions.

No, there is a bug in WiFi Tether 3.1b6 (or pretty much all the betas) that causes the phone to crash when the WiFi module is removed. I have sent the dev some debug logs, hopefully he can make some sense out of it.

That bug is not present on the Evo 3D. It works prefect on 3D.

I don't even have any apps installed besides what came with the ROM.

Did you wipe the data/factory reset in recovery? not sure if that could be the cause, but it's worth a shot. I myself just installed the ROM earlier today, and haven't had any problems with it so far.
