Hmmm not sure. I tested it with no issues last night but did not have time to do extensive testing with it. It ran very well for me but once again, I did not spend a lot of time with it.

Are you running v4?

I'm really digging the new animation you put in when the screen goes to sleep, the first time it happened I thought my phone died or something XD

Ive been trying to hit the update software and firmware buttons on my Optimus but it telling me that I have the latest software. Am I missing something?

if your runnin full v9 with the v9 recovery its quite simple to get to gb update and is reccomended to keep v9 recovery to easily root gb... i would be more than happy to help you if you want a gb custom rom and have it all work

Hey, I was just wondering if you were planning to update the Swype version on the ROM to the latest v3.0 beta? I just installed the ROM for the first time since using CM7 my entire time, and I love it! My only qualm is the slightly old version of Swype. Any way to manually update it?

3. Make a nandroid backup after rooting.
4. Install this ROM.

no... lol i remember when i was once like you... if you do it that way you wont get anything to work on the rom i.e phone calls internet texts anything that uses the towers ... so that will juss basically make it a itouch .. but with the annoying activating windows that will continually pop up... hmmm gtalk me? itll be easier and ill be able to help you fully and give you all the files to download and how to do so

You can remove swype from the ROM. That would be best for now. If you need help doing it let me know.

scott i may not be able to make roms and all that fun stuff but im the type of person that likes to help no matter what the situation so im always here to help others with things im hoping soon ill learn to make roms and kernals and such im getting used to adb and all that

vtt-sprint.apk - don't use Visual Voice Mail - so deleted - although this causes a FC if you press the VM button in dialer - you can replace the dialer with one without that button though

Swype.apk - replaced with SwiftKey X
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk - don't use
LiveWallpapersPicker.apk - don't use
LiveWallpapers.apk - don't use
GenieWidget.apk - don't use
Gallery3D.apk - very slow to load images - replaced with QuickPic, much better performance
Email.apk - replaced with Touchdown
DeskClock.apk - replaced with AlarmDroid
com.google.android.marvin.talkback.apk - don't need accessibility features
com.google.android.marvin.soundback.apk - don't need accessibility features

Also, I am not sure if anyone noticed or if it is just me, but is anyone observing that their touchscreens in GB (or this ROM) is less sensitive than what you have in Froyo? I currently have a lock pattern set and it occurs to me that in GB it gets very hard to swipe out my pattern. While swiping out the pattern, the phone will think that I have already released my fingers and will immediately throw an incorrect pattern message. Because I am still in the middle of swiping my pattern, my phone will continue to recognize the second half of my pattern and will count that as the 2nd incorrect try as well. I have locked my phone many times because of this... Anyone experienced this problem? Perhaps anything we can correct in build.prop?

Yes I was trying with gingerkernel v4. v3 would boot up but had the touchscreen issues. But v4 has givin me problems. Doesnt matter what rom i have when i try to use it tried stock as well as grom 1.1, 1.1.5 and 1.2. Optirom would boot sometimes but was kinda unstable if i would reboot sometimes will not start

I don't use a lock pattern but generally I feel I need to press the screen further for scrolling through things or I'll just end up selecting stuff by accident.

EDIT: Quick question of my own: I can't seem to use wifi tether. It says wifi tether started with issues and in the log I get this:

I've noticed it too. It's very frustrating. It's even difficult. dragging things. around the screen or navigating on the internet without selecting text unintentionally.

Also my wifi keeps giving me errors. and I have to reboot to get 3G or wifi working again. I also uninstalled the old Swype and installed the latest beta. It works fine until I reboot, then I get nonstop force closes until I reinstall it again.

I just want to go back to Drew's CM7 ROM again, but I don't know if that's. possible now.

Update, been using gROM for a while now, updated to 1.2, everything that I use seems to work great and smooth. The time issue with battery use is still incorrect but that's a sprint issue.
