Re: [ROM] gROM 1.1 - 9/16/11 - GB 2.3.3 - Stuff just got real!

I cant say that I have seen the settings issue you are describing.

But the market issue is a known issue with Market. Does it on all my android phones after a fresh install. Its quit annoying. Just back out using the back button all the way to the home screen and then start it back up. That USUALLY fixes the issue. But market has to be one of the most terribly coded apps in the history of Android (mal-ware aside). I may consider going back to the stock Market because it has less issues. Lets see if others will share there experience.

I think i'm going to re-download the ROM and re-flash it, let's see if that clears up the alerts issue. I'll report back when I have a chance.

Does anyone know where to get the ext4 modules for this?

Try those settings before you install anything. And we cna go from there.

Also, did you do any restore from back ups?

Hmmm. Now I didint try phone calls but... If the sprint ROM does the same thing then that would lead me to a few conclusions...

Sprint effed this up... Or.... your jack is partially busted.... or... your headset itself is partially busted. Do you have another phone or another headset to test with? Unfortunately I dont have a wired headset to play with or I would test it out too. I might try to grab a cheapo one at walmart... But right now I dont have one.

But yeah, try swapping anything you can and we will go off those results.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

it was working perfectly before I upgraded to the new sprint gingerbread. I connect the audio out to car stereo, it plays music perfectly, however, when I'm on the call, its silent. so its not the problem with the cable either.

I'll give it a shot.
And yes, I titaniumed all my apps.

Ok, well try it without Titanium and let me know. That app has a tendecy to casue issues at times.

Ok, how about headset? Also do you have a Froyo 2.2 ROM that you can test with? I am still at work so I cant do anything at all.

Re: [ROM] gROM 1.1 - 9/16/11 - GB 2.3.3 - Stuff just got real!

Ok, so I wiped and reflashed a fresh download, then checked out the bugs. Neither alerts or Market acted buggy. I'm now going to see if I can restore my apps without causing something to get hinky.

same thing happening to me. Worked fine on froyo rom but not recognizing headphones/aux out in car when I plug it into the 3.5mm port. Anyone else having these issues?

Ok, so it snot the ROM then. Good luck with the restore. I would say just dont restore anything related to system apps.

Yeah, not to mention we are runnign a pure stock kernel. Im sure that has an impact as well. I cant wait to see a good OC kernel for this puppy. Next weekend I am going to try my first compile. Crosses fingers.

That is odd. Maybe sprint did bork something? I will play around when I get home.

Any thoughts on ext2/4 support? Looks like a few people are interested in data2ext on this rom.

I thought at first it was a gingerbread thing since cm7 for optimus has always had issues with headsets, but there are no issues on my wife's evo 3d, so I'm assuming it's something with this implementation.

I think its a reasonable request. I'll consider it for a future release.

I like it, but I wish you didn't remove the visual voicemail app, is there a way I can get it on G-Rom!

+1 Obviously, this is one of those things that can wait until more important things are done, but it's a huge help for those of us who tend to use large apps :)

Wait... What? I killed VVM? Can anyone else confirm? I will get a fix for that asap!
