VVM does not work with CM7(custom roms). Have to use googlevoice on those roms with you want visual voicemail.

What else doesn't work on CM7? Just curious?

I have never been a fan of CM7 ports... they tend to have too many issues. If they are real CM7 builds then that's another thing... lol But even then... Just a little too plain jane for my tastes.

But anyways, I don't want to derail my own thread..... Pm me if you wish to continue the conversation. I never knew CM7 had that issue. Interesting.

Optimus S doesn't have a locked bootloader. As long as you have custom recovery you can flash it. To get custom recovery, you need to have rooted your phone. This ROM requires ZVH radio, so you need a rooted ZVH. Instructions in the first link of my signature.

twice now my haptic feedback has died. all apps are effected and a reboot fixes this. first time i was halfway through a facebook post and the second i was texting.

Vvm works on CM7 just follow the instructions for the Evo here http://www.xda-developers.com/android/have-your-evo-4g-running-cm7-want-sprint-vvm-back-heres-how/ It just sends an annoying text from 9016 every tine you get a voice mail, but it works.

VVM does not consistently work with CM7. There's a thread on here from a couple weeks ago with more details. I think it has sprint VVM in the title if you are interested. Sorry for hijacking thread, scrosler!

Everything is working perfect here... Only problems I'm having is the screen locks up randomly which only happened twice. Device doesn't freeze though I can still hear audio and If I pull battery with charger plugged in then pull charger it un freezes and says powering down...

How to do you install this new gb rom if your phone had been refurb from the insurance company and it has the zvd, everthing I've read refers to if you did the ota updates like vc-zvd on how to do it my phone is rooted with xonia recovery and running drews cm7 with xions redux kernal the instructions are not very clear for the refub phones running zvd thanks for any help

The Rooting ZVH instructions in my signature will work for your scenario. Coming from CM7 you'll want to do that factory reset at the appropriate time.

A refurb ZVD should be the same as ZVD with OTA update.

had this happen wonce to me as well. was texting and it died. no vibrate mode at all not even on silent mode . reboot fixed it

someone stated in this thread that the sluggishness seems to go away after a day or two(maybe a few reboots). i've been running this about a week now and i am still happier with this rom overall compared to drews cm7 vd rom. now just the waiting game for his cm7 vh rom

Are you using another kernel? I had the same issues on ginger kernel.

On stock rom it is smooth and no later.

im using xionia cmwa recovery and before flashing this rom, i wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. Im still getting sluggish transitions, a lag time when unlocking my phone, and the touchscreen seems to register my long-pressing as double taping (this is really annoying especially when using swipe). is there something else i need to clear before flashing, which is causing the sluggish behavior?

just want to chime in and say i'm experiencing similar general laggy-ness. i also wiped/factory reset before flashing and have been running gRom for nearly a week with the stock / gRom standard kernel.
