Loving this rom brother! For people that update to the new facebook and are having battery issues. Thats your problem. I updated my facebook to the newest version, and all the sudden in like 6 hours, my battery was down to 20%. Now, went back to the old version of facebook app, and have been off the charger since 6am. only down to 75%. Just an FYI incase others are having a battery issue.

Quick thought, since most themes break the crt screen off effect, why not add the zip to replace it to rom updater under themes. Just a suggestion . . .

Facebook is always a battery hog. Almost every time someone complains of battery issues they are running Facebook. I wish they could get that app straight, lol

Its not quite that simple :'(

For CRT animations to work you have decompile framework-res.apk, make some edits to the smali code, then recompile it then make a build.prop edit. Its no hard to do but..... Each theme has a different framework-res.apk because framework-res also houses all (most) of the graphics for the themes.

So to achieve CRT animations in all themes I would have to decompile, rework, then recompile each theme. I simply do not have the time for that. Sorry...

I would however give some the instructions on how to do it if they had the time, patients, and tools to do it with.

Is it just me that the power control widget doesnt work? And wifi tether getting errors, and thus not working?

Okay no one ever said how to configure wifi tether, so i decided to uninstall and simply download the market version 2.0.7. This works no problem for both my ipad and laptop. Atleast it works !! No reboot either.

Edit : didnt realize it was that complex! Thought it was strange you hadnt done it, if it was as simple as i thoughht it was lol.

TO be honest with you I prefer the market version as well. But some folks need the infrastructure mode and that is not available in the market version. Keep in mind that the version in the ROM is technically called Beta and I made it removable just for that reason. Its all on what you need and or want. Its easier to get access to uninstall the pre-loaded version and go to Market and get the stable production version.

Id be willing to give it a shot if it isn't too hard. I have some down time when not running calls on my work days.

If you are really wanting to give it a shot then post in the CRT Animation thread and I will post the steps.

I don't know if anybody has posted the themes that do work with the anim but GB-chillout DOES work and GB-coolblue DOES NOT or atleast when I did it.

Sweet, test them all and tell us which ones are already modified and which ones are not. That will save us a serious amount of time!

Ummm ..... I did not modify any of my themes to allow the crt animation, if there are any that do work that will be interesting.

I will just pull the xmls from chill out and look at them. Easiest way to find out. But if you did not explicityly mod it to do it then it cant be doing it... right? lol

Ya, I know exactly which xml needs to be edited and I definitely have not modded it in any of the public themes. Lol. And I made chillOut long before I learned how to do the crt animation mod.

Are you trying to get the percent to show up? Have you tried the themes yet? They all seem to have this already.

I actually want to get rid of the percent number. I see it dropping and gets me worried about nothing.

Any themes with no battery percent and white SMS icon on top?
Is it possible to decrease screen sensitivity?
