Ok for some reason I cant download the rom I running optirom an I have ur rom updater installed an that dont show anything exceped for stock font an the site starts to download but fails like 25% in. not sure whats going on

I'm now using the Epic Touch 4G for everyday use, but still love to play with my Optimus S. If only it was large enough to accommodate my 63 year old eyes and large fingers.

I dont think you can use rom manager that way. I believe you can only use it to download from within grom. You will have to download it directly from scotts website.

Yes, after you alerted me to the fact you were able to download items via ROM Updater, while runnign another ROM, I came to the conclusion that this could be a security hole / stability risk for my server. Although the risk would not have affected gROM users at all. As I am sure you would too, I had to take measures to prevent that from happening. You will no longer be able to access my Update Server if you are not running gROM. Sorry but I am sure you can understand that stability and security of my server are of the utmost importance to me. And thanks for unintentionally bringing it to my attention.

Once again: This posed no security / stability risk for any gROM user at any time ever.

However you can download the ROM with no issues at all directly from my website! Thanks again for your help!

I previously left my server wide open to devices and ROMS other than my own! In the past he was able to use ROM Updater to download mods and ROMS while using opti ROM. I patched this vulnerability. This vulnerability did not affect gROM users at any time. Only my server and my bandwidth, lol

well thanks alot cus I guess I wont use ur rom cus that was the only way I can download ur rom I couldnt download ur rom from ur site plus I used ur add-on stuff with both roms I go back an forth from ur rom an opti-rom. So if anything can u add optirom to use ur updater pls

I would even allow them access to the root server to make there own MODS / ROMS / Updates or whatever. But I think I would be over stepping my bounds if I took this liberty to do this on my own. Sorry man! I cant step on another developer(s) toes.

Not sure about the failed downloads, but the actual file is is grom zip. Just rename the file, and then you can flash the rom.

is any one else having trouble getting themes to work since the latest release? everytime i try my phone freezes at the 2nd lg screen. even when i try to flash from recovery same thing. never had this problem before today

Is there anything else you are suppose to do besides flashing the zip from darktremor for a2sd to work... it says that it flashed ok but my apps are on internal mem also check df on emulator and the prt ext sd
doesnt show up. I had it on opti rom... what to do now?

Just updated to 2.2. Happy to see another update. She's as fast as ever! I'm pushed her up to 806 mhz, and it just powers through whatever I ask. Phone pulled an 1171 in Quadrant. Am very pleased. It's continually great work from you.

I had an issue where I flashed 2.2 from Rom Updater. Then I went to Xionia recovery and flashed a theme manually. Rebooted and the phone said a bunch of apps were not installed that were there right before like messaging, gmail, etc.


Wierdness inside the coalmine....

Nandroid back and just flashed the icon pack and everything ok so far.

Please don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik before flashing themes everyone. If that still does not work, then maybe there were some edits to framework or systemui done in this update that are causing conflicts.

Besides the gmail, messaging, and email mod (which is outdated now) the regular themes don't touch any apps other than contacts.

Not sure if anyone experienced this, but after flashing 2.2, I tested the streaming from justin.tv from my laptop and trying to stream it using Dolphin Browser on the phone. I had password protected my stream, so when dolphin loaded up the page, all the characters were in chinese? lol I dunno. I knew that was where I needed to enter in my password to get streaming access, but thought that was funny. Couldn't get it to show chinese characters again after that though.

Battery life seemed to have gotten better with this release? Going on 24 hours and it's still at 81% with mainly texting, facebook, and surfing the web.
